lol my dad was watching this wif me and he said that happened to me once when it exploded :P he told me that he made someroot beer and when he opened it it shot out forward and on his car by some other cars xD then he said he tried putting down in the glass but it shot back up xP lol i herd ur suposto wait 10 days - 2 weeks for waiting on the root beer being done :3
I made Royal Root beer with 2kg cane sugar and a pack of champagne yeast. Very delicious but after a five weeks I lost the rest as my bottles started exploding. I used beer bottles and caps. I should have used plastic bottles, 2 litre coke or 500ml water bottles. A mess but it was fun and worth it. I'll make it again. The yeastyness goes down after a couple weeks.
By the way, how much sugar per liter did you put in that? Also, I think that shaking the bottle disturbs the sediment which makes it taste like yeast.

Very cool, I just made my own ginger ale today and it's fermenting really fast. I'm hoping it will be drinkable when I open it!
