Well its not my fault that GM didnt supercharge the LS1s like Ford did to the Cobra. Cobra is called the Terminator for a reason. They come with about 365hp at the wheels. With a tuner, and a dyno tune, and a smaller blower pulley. That would cost about $500, they see 425hp at the wheels (around there) never mind, intake exhaust, a Kenne Bell SC Ported, cams, heads blah blah. So Mustang>Camaro

ummm actually your statement is not accurate. Only '03-'04 Cobras beat stock Camaro SS all day. With the other generation Cobras it's at best a driver's race. There are several Car and Driver video comparos where the Camaro SS is clearly faster than the 1999 and 2001 generation Cobras (since Ford failed to deliver advertised hp in 1999 and there was no Cobra in 2000).

Accually the 2010 Supersnake ran like a 10.8 @ 135mph stock. But sure. And, I will agree the 2v is low on HP. Why? Ford wanted to make an inexpensive Muscle Car that can run high 13's with running regular gas in it. If they bumped the compression up instead of 9.25:1 and 10.25:1 then it would have about 290-300hp. But whatever. And the GT's definatley look much better than the Camaros. They look like Sebrings man. And the interior sucks. And the rear end is awful.
i have too agree about interior quility for both camaros and mustang are poor. and the camaro was aimed for a more hardcore crowd. thats why they put a bigger engine than the gt and was made aerodynamic so it could grab all the power it can. that is why the mustang out sold the f-bodys. the mustang= an all around kind of muscle car. f-body= select hardcore group of people. which is why on the road for every one f-body you see you will see at least 5 mustangs before you see another f-body.
I've owned a few of both, but the Mustang interior is better quality... the Camaro-Firebird interior is all plastic. I'm not sure about the 2010 models, as I haven't driven or spent any time in one .... yet....
there is something good about both cars, just as there is something bad about both cars as well.... I personally like them both equal, but currently drive a Mustang on nice days.
i have a 97 Z28 and to me i think the quality of the interior for a car in 97 is good. but not great. the only mustang that i have been in that i like the interior better than mine is my cousins 97 cobra. but i have been in a 96, 2000, and 2003 gt. and i dont think its that good of quality. i like mustang up to 95. i really dont know why ford switch to the DOHC bullshit. the mustang was the first of the pony cars. and it is the only one that has not stayed original. to me the mustang die in 1996

corvettes were ls1 from 97-04 then ls2 from 05-07, 08 till now they've used the ls3.
the z06 was introduced in 2001 using the ls6, then in 06 it uses the ls7. their was no z06 in 2005.

Why is it that the only camaro vs mustang videos you see on here is a Z28 vs a 4.6 or 5.0 gt. Of course the camaro is faster. It has a larger C.I.D. How about a more even race. Hay guys lets all bitch and whine that GM used a 5.7 liter motor, that still gets 28-30 mpg on the highway in the 2.73 geared auto and the 6 speed cars.
Who cares, the Cobra is an amazing car, at the time it cost more, but you got more. I own a 99 Z28 but would love to have an 03-04 Cobra, you guys are a bunch of idiots to get so pissy over such a small thing. Well its not my fault that GM didnt supercharge the LS1s like Ford did to the Cobra. Cobra is called the Terminator for a reason. They come with about 365hp at the wheels. With a tuner, and a dyno tune, and a smaller blower pulley. That would cost about $500, they see 425hp at the wheels (around there) never mind, intake exhaust, a Kenne Bell SC Ported, cams, heads blah blah. So Mustang>Camaro

ummm actually your statement is not accurate. Only '03-'04 Cobras beat stock Camaro SS all day. With the other generation Cobras it's at best a driver's race. There are several Car and Driver video comparos where the Camaro SS is clearly faster than the 1999 and 2001 generation Cobras (since Ford failed to deliver advertised hp in 1999 and there was no Cobra in 2000).
Also, the '96-'98 generation Cobras are slower than the same year Camaro SS/Trans Am Ws6. Get your facts straight.

Acually, the 03 Cobra runs 12.4 1/4 mile STOCK. The SS runs 13.3 Stock. The 01 Cobra or 03/04 Mach 1 runs 13.4 1/4 mile stock. Plus the 03-04 Cobras only have a pussy 6psi. That clearly makes up the differance of motor displacement. The Cobra is just a better car. Oh and STOCK, the Camaro has a Y Pipe, atleast Mustangs have TRUE DUAL exhaust

i have seen a cobra run a 12.4 stock and i have seen a ss run a 12.9. and i have seen a mach 1 run a 13.2 stock. yea so the cobra is better in 03-04 because it is handbuilt with a S/C. and the SS is an assembly line car. so no the cobra is not a better car. plus the cobra cost more than SS/WS6, the camaro still has the old school pushrod motor to ricer DOHC that the cobra has so you can keep your "TRUE DUELS".

Accually the 2010 Supersnake ran like a 10.8 @ 135mph stock. But sure. And, I will agree the 2v is low on HP. Why? Ford wanted to make an inexpensive Muscle Car that can run high 13's with running regular gas in it. If they bumped the compression up instead of 9.25:1 and 10.25:1 then it would have about 290-300hp. But whatever. And the GT's definatley look much better than the Camaros. They look like Sebrings man. And the interior sucks. And the rear end is awful.

i have too agree about interior quility for both camaros and mustang are poor. and the camaro was aimed for a more hardcore crowd. thats why they put a bigger engine than the gt and was made aerodynamic so it could grab all the power it can. that is why the mustang out sold the f-bodys. the mustang= an all around kind of muscle car. f-body= select hardcore group of people. which is why on the road for every one f-body you see you will see at least 5 mustangs before you see another f-body.

I've owned a few of both, but the Mustang interior is better quality... the Camaro-Firebird interior is all plastic. I'm not sure about the 2010 models, as I haven't driven or spent any time in one .... yet....
there is something good about both cars, just as there is something bad about both cars as well.... I personally like them both equal, but currently drive a Mustang on nice days.

i have a 97 Z28 and to me i think the quality of the interior for a car in 97 is good. but not great. the only mustang that i have been in that i like the interior better than mine is my cousins 97 cobra. but i have been in a 96, 2000, and 2003 gt. and i dont think its that good of quality. i like mustang up to 95. i really dont know why ford switch to the DOHC bullshit. the mustang was the first of the pony cars. and it is the only one that has not stayed original. to me the mustang die in 1996

what rock have you been hiding under? The mustang gt produced a pathetic 214 hp at the tires. The LS1 is a 325 hp motor in a car that is 350lbs lighter than the Mustang. Hell even the 4.6l is a heavier motor than the LS1 despite having lesser cubic inches. What the else were you expecting.

trans ams cost $28-34,000 Brand new, As where mustang gts Brand new cost 22,000- 28,000. Spending 6,000 more on a ws6. You get 1 Hp for every $86, and on a mustang gt you get 1 Hp for every $69, therefore Mustang gts are more horsepower for the $, not saying they are faster

Well the 2002 Mustang GT only had 260hp, the 2002 Trans am was underrated at 325 my WS6 brand new was 30,000, The base GT was 24,190 that is $93 per/hp for the GT and $92 per/hp. and if you race stock for stock the ws6 will win. I am not hating on stangs they are sweet cars as well

mach 1s run right with ls1s stock....96-98 cobras are right in the mix too...they have less hp than the 99 up cobras (not the supercharged ones, I mean the 99 and 01 n/a cobras) but they also have a solid axle and are slightly lighter. I used to beat the shit out of lt1s in my 97 cobra. I had k&n, exhaust, and 4.10s. and none of the lt1s I raced were EVER stock. they usually had the same kind rinky dink shit I did so don't play that card. I don't mean barely I mean 2-4 cars

im just saying i want to see ford move forward. i want ford to make a bigger motor so it will be motor vs motor as it should be. a supercharger should be the choice of the driver not the factory because of small engine. im just talking shit because the other guy was talking first. i Respect mustangs i really do. i say we should team up and take down the rice crowding the streets.
