If you don't get the point to this cymbal then you are obviously very new to drumming and music in general. This may be useless to many people, but for others it may be exactly the sound they need for the style of music they play. You can get some VERY unique sounds out of a spiral cymbal if you know how to use them.

i saw an official zildjian spiral cymbal at an expo tent in dayton, ohio. they seem more like a cool decoration than an actual sound tool, but nonetheless innovative.
