  • @drgunatilaka Thanks for the lovely comment..!!

  • who is the female vocalist ?

  • @rukshannn Uncle Neville's sister, Merna.... yes,, he is my uncle... :)

  • @ruchira1981 wow cool to know it, you know he is a great singer long live to Mr. Nevile. hey really nice to know you too.

  • @rukshannn back at you! i wish the music is still like in the 70's these days....sadly it's not.

  • Hey, yes I feel better than CTF. anyway we are blessed with someone like you to find & upload these kinda unfindable songs .... and when ur creating videos for songs of Neville, just pick any visuals from my FB - Neville Fdo page without any hesitation.

    TC. Regards.

  • @celsusdp Thanks Celsus for your kind comment.....!!

  • Thank you Aruna for sharing this very rare recording. It was these songs that got CT very annoyed with Neville when he sang them in his early music career. Neville's versions became more popular than CT's own, which made CT do a scathing attack on Neville with his song Piyumehi Peni Bothi, with phrases like 'Kusagini hadunata indul nokaw' and 'Kovuleku venavada Kalu Kaputa'.

    Best Regards,

    Jude

  • @goonewj When Jimi Hendrix performed "Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band" couple of days after Beatles released it, Paul McCartney said he was attending that concert and thought they were honored.... unfortunately there are no McCartney s in everybody & such comments (or statements made through other songs) reflects their character.

Thanks Jude for the lovely comment.

    Regards,

    Aruna

  • Was fortunate enough to see Neville sing this song with Rukmani & Los cabelleros in 1966 at Thudella Jaela - Not too far from where Rukmani died from the road accident.

  • @Varnakula Thanks for the comment..!!

  • Hey, great to see you around again.

Neville did some lovely arrangements. It's a shame he wasn't heard by Westerners.. could have been popular with them too.

  • @HumanFrailtz Interesting thought....thanks for the comment..!!
