Heh I remember Furdo, fun little side battle. I was playing as Emelia, and everyone in my party had the DSC so i just kept doing it and beat his ass in 1 turn lol/
Uhm... even if you lose Rouge, it's temporary... he will rejoin if you try to recruit him again. The only thing useful about Furdo = Absorbing IllStorm. But that's hard to get. Furdo was actually suppose to be part of Asellus story quest. But due to time constraints, it was not possible.
What did poor Furdo do to deserve you slaughtering him like that? You break into his house, kill his guards, then kill him for fun. Furdo is a victim!
Problem with this is that I can't get his StoneGas ability for a BlackDragon, one of the Monsters that releases the others from petrification is a Lamia, so you can get TailHit from her.
My Red File was setup so I could pull off Alkaiser immediately. So only one monster. The moment Cotton dies. Alkaiser finisher as well as major combos with the other mechs.
really I can sorta of see how Asellus would have something to do in this place. You think Blue/Rouge would have something to do in this place as well.
Supposedly the event in the storyline for Furdo's Workspace was that Furdo shows that the tyranny of Mystic Lords makes little sense as even a lower class mystic like Furdo can get great and unique power (like stoning stuff). It also was supposed to be where Asellus got the Mystic Boot ability.
I personally like SaGa Frontier, first part better. It's "mystical" and though the storyline isn't as complex as SF2, I still like their simple character stories better. You only get two main chars in part 2, opposed to the 7 you get here. SaGa Frontier is great in it's own respect. SF2 wasn't particularly striking to me. It came off as boring sometimes too. But Johan is hot. : )
i really love this game.

3:07 looks like a mana beast. the one with the 4 wings

It is a mana beast wannabe, so is the Axebeak, and another monster in this game. I prefer the Saga Frontier version of these monsters.

Obviously, it's because he has scales and claws and you don't. :)

I forgot the name of the monster but try those tree looking things for it. Not the Treants the other ones.

I read that this place was supposed to be a big part of Asellus' story line, but they had to cut that.

i never played this game, only the 2nd. if you've played both, how do they stack up against eachother?
meirus 5 years ago
Moves list and loads of combos go to the first one.
Graphics and storyline go to the 2nd one.
Although I did like the fact that in the 2nd one its much easier to pull off a LVL 4 combo and going solo against an enemy is fun.

Furdo is so easy to beat. I don't even bother fighting him anymore.

Plus, you can't forget the fact that the heroes attack him for no reason. :/
