the Sub-Macinegun and the Bolt action Rifle succesfully with its 7.92x33mm "Kurtz" Bullet

And is the First True "Assault Rifle".

Had the Stg-44 been put into production in 1942 when it was originally conceivedand made in sufficient Numbers,then there is no doubt it would have had a huge impact in all theatres of WW2 and beyond,negating the need for an AK-47.

But it wasnt to be and the AK became the rightful Heir to the Throne.

2dawnninjawolf , i don't know what thougts you have, but i deassambled and assembled STG 44 and AK47 just yesterday and i founded, that mechanizms of AK and STG are quite different.

And AK weights 3,8 Kilos instead of 5,22 kilos in Sturmgewehr.

the ak 47 was developed from scratch using internals from soviet automatic weapons... the mp44 was developed by the wehrmacht in secret (from hitler) during late ww2... the exteriors look nothing alike anyway

This particular MP44 model gun does not fire blanks or PFCs, but otherwise works exactly as the real thing. There is a PFC version (plug fire cartridge) but it has been discontinued.

The similarity you are seeing is the magazine, but thats wat any large magazine does - curve around.
