I'm full of admiration for the Desdner Kreuzchor! Performed this with Leeds Festival Chorus a few years ago, so I know the deep effect it can have on the singers as well as on the listeners.

This work of Bruckner has so many similarities to the Ave Maria of Franz Biebl that I wonder if Biebl wasn't thinking of the Bruckner work when he composed his version. Le Dresdner kreuzchor est toujours un choeur exceptionnel ; hommage a son ancien chef Rudolf Mauersberger dont j'ai de bons enrégistrements . Il me semble avoir reconnu la cathédrale de Dresde magnifiquement reconstruite .
