The sound would be re-recorded anyway, so there's no great problem if the non-actors start screaming or whatever. The boom mic records the rough sound on location so the engineers can make a good foley mix and the actors can re-record their dialogue. The fact that a lot of people won't believe this statement shows how well they do it in the movie industry! :-P
i just saw that movie on cinema an hour ago it's AWESOME! but how was that? i mean all the non-actors remained silent? and the director cut the streets to film?
