Tbh, if you really want to know, the last thing you ever want to do is sharp turn because you can never be to sure about what's on the ground or not. My friend was going down a hill and tried to bank into a driveway to kill speed on the sidewalk. He overturned and slammed his face flat on the ground leading him to a mild concussion. ALWAYS take the tilted turns, I only use sharp turns if my timing on a tilted turn is off, and even so, I may just jump off occasionally.

If your board turns too easily tighten your trucks, NOT your wheels, that just makes them go slower. And when your ollie-ing heading for a wall...Just...go in a direction that doesnt have a wall infront of you lol.

it ruins it when you hear the sqeaks like 1:15 . dont be too scared to lean back a little bit more. it makes the wheel lose its shape after a long time. but try not to ruin them. unless they were cheap and you dont care about them. my wheels were $30 for all 4 of them. spitfire is what i recomend

why dont beginners also just get ABEC 1 bearings? it's easier to do tricks going 0 mph.

loose trucks and fast bearings help people learn balance, gain style, and maneuver better and less awkwardly.

tight trucks are the reason kids skate for a year or two and then quit after they've learned 5 tricks, they never enjoy the ride... they never 'feel' the turns or build board control. they just skate like robots and get bored, just like you will eventually

its like learning to play acoustic guitar before electric.

yeah, electric's easier and is easier to make sound better... but all the while you can be learning to play wrong/improperly

acoustic is harder to learn and sounds worse when you play wrong... but when you're great on acoustic, then once you 'step up' to electric, you can dominate.

not to say that tight trucks dominate... its just 'easier' doesn't mean 'better'
