  • Smith Enterprise Sucks

  • well this is total bullshit sonja is a former stripper/waitress in scottsdale AZ. she would'nt know the first thing about muzzle flash or even have the faintist idea of how to suppress it. the original inventor or the vortex is gary smith ron smith's brother, and when he left the business ron took the vortex over.

  • one problem with this is that it doesnt work as a muzzle break (for controlling recoil) and it kicks up a bit more dust than the standard birdcage

  • Dudes and Dudettes, don't ever expect rational behavior from the "American" (ha!)Liberal Socialista types- you will be disappointed every time, alas....... Now I grant you, Liberals are great at Art, Theater, Fiction Novels, Hot Sex and intelligent-sounding BS. They're NOT so good at Common Sense........cut them SOME slack. They just stink at Logic and Lawmaking and Politics and.........

  • @rattinox How about this one. "We need some common sense! Not change."

  • I was buying "VORTEX" flash suppressors 15 years ago...When did they claim to invent this?

  • @superpwrflbangidiot-- I havent seen any Dems. outlaw any gun. I bought all of mine with Dems. in control. Its the only time a person can afford to buy a gun. the Repubs. are to busy trying to starve the working people.. And make money for big oil and insurance companies. The Repubs, have done more illegial things to people in this country, you need to quit lying on here. Illegial wiretaps, and taking away freedoms are things the Repubs. did while in control with Bush/Cheney.

  • @Deaton1989 this economic crisis stems from clinton with the huge deregulation of big business and baks to be more specific. so dont act like democrats are innocent

  • @Deaton1989 Since when are the Bush/Cheney/Corporati types Republicans?! I just thought they were Traitors. Silly me.

    (yes, yes yes......I'm a Libertarian)

  • @Deaton1989 Jesus Christ!!!!! Look what Obama Has done to this country and you wanna go on about that stupid shit c'mon we(all of us) should be pulling together ... you know what politics is all about arguing and fingerpointing lining their pockets and not caring about all of us Remember Gov't of the people by the people and when elected for the THEMSELVES i dare anyone to say i'm wrong.

  • @wpmtpm can i get an AMEN

  • We so need this on the SA80A2 then it would truly be the best assault rifle in the world

  • the surefire vortex works like a fucking treat on the sa80a2.

  • Government officials= 60's burnouts Or! Children of their fail parenting.

  • how is it on controlling muzzle rise on fast fire

  • @skookookachoo It does nothing. It is a FH not a brake. If you want to control muzzle rise and recoil get yourself a PWS or Battlecomp.

  • Best flash hider I ever used. Works great.

  • No, our main purpose is to MAKE MONEY otherwise they would be free.

  • @helipilot727 He just said if the parents are willing to pay for it out of pocket then they just donate it free of charge. Free of charge sounds free to me.

  • I still havent tested mine at night yet, no ranges here allow night fire that I'm aware of:(

still it is easier to clean especially when all one can afford is russian "wolf" ammo :(

  • @phugedaboudet Try Silver Bear. It is roughly the same price as wolf though it burns much cleaner. Unfortunately it's still steel cased ammo so it will put extra wear on extractors and case rims, especially on 16" carbine length AR15s with large gas ports like Bushys.

  • glad to see this is made in america, and is saving american lives. +1 for americans

  • love to see small business owners create things like this for our military. Glad to see them donate them free of charge to the soldier instead of charging them.

  • Great job. Thanks for saving lives. "ours"

  • love vortexes, a lot cheaper and lighter than a can. Great stuff!

  • easy to uninstall and install vortex. just need a wrench. no indexing needed. Locate wrench, and the original birdcage will come off without any real fight. remove birdcage washer and screw new vortex on!

  • These are nice, not to be a dick or anything but its great to see a woman thought of this!!!!!!!!!! BUY MORE GUNS

  • @travismany National buy/fire a gun day on 9 July in response to international destroy guns day.

  • @travismany You should edit your post to say an American woman thought of this!

  • I wish they were actually $31

  • Looks like a nice flash suppressor. Will be buying one for my next tour. One question however. How do I remove my current A2 birdcage and reinstall it? I will have to do that once in country and replace the old birdcage before turning the weapon back into the unit armorer. Would rather not screw up the weapon. My searches on youtube haven't turned up anything other than airsoft flash suppressor removal.

  • @Sarge395

AR-15 armorer's wrench or adjustable wrench. The A2 will spin right off, save it, then reinstall when you turn it in.

  • Before they went to Iraq, i told two of my friends that i'd buy this for each them. It turned out that they wouldn't have been allowed to use them anyhow.

  • Geez, he looks like Stewart Granger the Actor.

    Good device though

  • hmmmm, seems effective

  • Had one tig welded on a 14.5" barrel to make it 16"+ to be legal. Works Great.

  • Awesome people with an awesome product! I have 1 installed on my Noveske Recce and love it! Keep up the great work!

  • Good people, God bless the good guys!

  • Impressive.I have an A1 Retro build and I would but one . Shoulder things????????

  • does it come for the .30 or for an AK?

  • yes there's one for the ak.

  • Where can i get it for $31.00?? anybody???

  • Contact Smith Enterprise on the internet. Are you a soldier? If not you didn't listen very well.

  • anything fired prone kicks up dust, closed bottom or not.

  • They should ban these, along with the shoulder things that go up.

  • Lol, what? "Along with the shoulder things that go up"--- wow. I'm guessing you've never even come within ten feet of a firearm. The point this video was showing was that it could help our troops stay safe.

  • i think your sarcasm meter needs to be recalibrated.

  • lol, he was making a joke. i forget who it was but a reporter trashed this woman who thought a barrel shroud was "the shoulder thing that goes up"

  • "the shoulder thing that goes up" is a quote from a democratic senator McCarthy ;]

And this flash suppressor would probably be best described by her: "the tube thing that hides in the dark". lmao.

  • This is a person who makes decisions for us. mcCarthy, boxer, feinstein, kenedy, obama, basically every democrat in control are nothing but idiots. Guns are used 2 million times a year to stop violent crimes, 92% of the time the gun isn't even fired. The liberals aren't looking for gun control, they are looking for civilian disarmnent so the dems can run their illegal bullshit without resistance. think about it, gun laws don't stop criminals (what does a criminal do, break the law)

  • Yes sir. All you have to do is look at some simple history. NO RULER has EVER taken away guns to make the people safer. They did it to make the ruling force [government] stronger.

  • Agreed! As Gandhi stated - "Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."

  • Thank you!

I love that quote. Its very true. A nation armed has protection not only against other countries, but its government.

Thanks for bringing up the qoute, I haven't heard it in a while.

  • So in a disarmed society I guess all of us who are pro-gun can take piece in knowing that "criminal" would be a relative term whereby we could ban together with our relatives and kick some ass.

  • @PoliticalLee

If that's what we'd have to fall back on, of course!

  • Protect your "piece" for Peace. lol

  • YAY 100% Trueness!

  • @superpwrflbangstick wow dude ur just a total bias republican why are u even posting this on youtube? go post this a republicans blog or something dont post it on youtube

  • @jkjgiants26 This is a free and open site, if you don't like it don't read it. Its a little thing called free speech.

  • @Crich775 Actually freedom of speech doesn't apply to privately owned entities. If YouTube/Google so wished, they could get rid of all the anti-left comments or ant-right comments with no -legal- ramifications. This is no different from business owners or neighbours not letting conceal weapon holders on their property, or nightclubs with certain age requirements or dress codes.

  • @jkjgiants26

Because dude, youtube isn't, you know, like a place where, like, republicans can't post. Republicans like to challenge ideas and like to, like, be challenged. So why can't you debate the ideas instead of inferring people have no right to speak their mind, or stuff.....dude.

  • @superpwrflbangstick Ehm yea think about it,more guns wow easier for people to access them and kill eachother let's have a shootingparty.if there were laws against guns so noone had one there wouldn't be any need of them and Iraq wouldn't have any guns CUZ WE ARE THE FREAKING PEOPLE MAKING THOSE GUNS, SELLING THEM to them.so ye why don't we just stop every single freaking gun maniac by not having any guns in our country.YA it's not gonna stop criminals, but this is how crime works poverty=crime.

  • @GaMeMakern What if your country got invaded? Gonna beat them away with sticks?

  • @superpwrflbangstick 1) What illegal stuff? 2) If the other party does something illegal then you're going to start shooting people? We have courts and a system of checks-and-balances precisely to avoid that type of chaos.

lol honestly, you can't stop illegal actions in Congress just because you have guns. That's retarded nonsense.

I'm a liberal who owns and loves firearms and who supports the 2nd amendment, and I approved this message.

  • @Yusuf1187 Obviously we can't stop illegal actions in congress with votes, laws/courts/checks and balances or protests either.

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

    -Thomas Jefferson

    ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

  • @TheBizzyWig But we DO keep the government in check with our system of government. America is the freest country in the world. It didn't stay that way for so long due to the USE of guns. In fact we've only had 1 civil war and (here's the funny part) the side that was rebelling (CSA) against what they felt was illegal actions.... LOST.

As Jefferson said, guns are a last resort. You need 'em, but they aren't what prevents any one political party of doing something we perceive as illegal.

  • @Yusuf1187 As Jefferson said, guns are a last resort. Bingo. And, NOTHING prevents people/political parties from doing something illegal or unethical. Our legal system is nothing more than a means to punish those who choose to disregard our values. And, guns are a way for the PEOPLE to take it all back when it gets that out of hand. And, to say it can't happen... History shows us what happens when people say, "It can't happen to me."

  • @TheBizzyWig I mean that our system of government and our rights is a way to prevent or at least reverse and fix illegal actions (unconstitutional legislation). It's not just a system of punishment. I don't really understand what you mean by saying that "nothing" stops our gov from exercising illegal authority. What about America today is so illegal in your view? Like I said, America is still the freest nation in history and hasn't become permanently obstructive of freedoms yet.

  • @Yusuf1187 "But we DO keep the government in check with our system of government." Really? Because, I'm looking around and it seems that government has gone utterly apeshit. If THIS is keeping it in check then maybe the quality of our leaders directly reflects the quality of our people and I'm just one of a few who haven't been drinking the cool-aid.

  • @TheBizzyWig It's important to make a distinction here: I'm saying that our system of gov does a good job of preventing illegal government. BUT as regards the gov doing things many of us consider "apeshit"... well that's another issue. No system of government, guns or no guns can prevent that. Always gonna be some people in gov who support policies we don't like. But hey, that's a republic.

  • @Yusuf1187 Yes, but the point was that our guns are to restore our Republic. And it's true that laws and written word don't stop illegal activity. If they did we could simply write a document to limit the power of government... Oh wait! We have that! It's called the Constitution. You know, the document the Obama administration (among others) has been using to mop the floor?

And, I agree that we technically have the best system in the world. However, it's not working right now.

  • @TheBizzyWig But what has the current administration done that is unconstitutional? Obamacare is the only thing I can think of that could potentially be. But that is being challenged in the courts and the unconstitutional parts of it will likely be repealed. So the written system works.

Although I admit that the Patriot Act allows unconstitutional powers in violation of the 5th, 6th, and 7th amendments. But only Ron Paul seems to be aware of this. No one else talks about it.

  • @Yusuf1187 I'll assume you really don't know... Fast & Furious/Gunrunner/Gun walker. Then there's, Illegal Immigration Policies, Voter fraud, Identity Fraud, ObamaCare (not be completely repealed), TSA nonsense to support his Union buddies, War violations, Decriminalizing Black Panther Voter Intimidation, AttackWatch, Bailout spending without consent of Congress, Cash for Clunkers, Obama's Czars... Not enough room for all of it and it's even further off topic.

  • @TheBizzyWig How was Cash for Clunkers unconstitutional? And same for the TARP bailout? People should've complained about the EESA when Bush signed it in 2008 which is what created TARP. As for the rest, those aren't specific so I don't know what you're referring to so for all I know it's just made up. And honestly it sounds like it because those other things certainly haven't made headlines. If Obama was actually doing something as bad as you claim, Fox News would definitely make sure we knew.

  • @TheBizzyWig Also, what do you mean by "Fast & Furious/Gunrunner/Gun walker"? Those sound like movies.

  • @Yusuf1187 Wow! Seriously!? ALL of this was ALL over mainstream media. You seriously don't know what F&F was? Where the ATF (at the direction of the Obama administration) instructed legal gun dealers to illegally sell guns to prohibited persons and then report it to the ATF (attempted STING). When those guns ended up killing Americans, a border patrol agent and somewhere between 200-300 Mexicans they tried to blame it on the gun dealers.

  • There is a better than even chance that you, popebob, are a complete and utter idiot, and should never again post on any video involving firearms.

  • So? It kicks up dust like MrSmith said, and the Phantom is a sturdier design that suppresses flash just as much. YHM FTW!

  • got one on my Kel-Tec SU-16. local ranges don't allow night fire with lights off so I can't verify if it's as effective as shown here. Does make for reduced flash in the evenings tho.

  • Got one on my SU 16-C and I love it. Gotta be sneaky. Gotta live to fight another day. Got it for $50.00 and I'd pay more if I had to. Sent three off to friends sons that are over there and one of them named his son after me on account of it.

  • i just bought one of those for my P-308-20-MRR-CF-308 SPR and its freaking great for shooting at night cause theres no flash in my scope

  • The military doesn't use M1A's. They have a somewhat decent but limited supply of M-W's. They recalled all in the hands of CMP shooters. In addition, most of the M-W's in the field have had lockouts installed for many years.

If indexed properly, the dust signature is minimal. Ron Smith is one of the contractors modifying current stocks of M14's.

  • Guess they forgot to mention the Vortex will kick up dust while firing in the prone position.

  • When you're shooting at night, dust>exhaust >_>

  • eh, that's just a standard M-14. Hell, it's probably just an M1A. I doubt it's FA.

  • Really sad that our soldiers can't get one thru the military and have to buy one on their own.

  • Nice M-14!

  • Very Impressive!
