@phugedaboudet Try Silver Bear. It is roughly the same price as wolf though it burns much cleaner. Unfortunately it's still steel cased ammo so it will put extra wear on extractors and case rims, especially on 16" carbine length AR15s with large gas ports like Bushys.

easy to uninstall and install vortex. just need a wrench. no indexing needed. Locate wrench, and the original birdcage will come off without any real fight. remove birdcage washer and screw new vortex on!

Looks like a nice flash suppressor. Will be buying one for my next tour. One question however. How do I remove my current A2 birdcage and reinstall it? I will have to do that once in country and replace the old birdcage before turning the weapon back into the unit armorer. Would rather not screw up the weapon. My searches on youtube haven't turned up anything other than airsoft flash suppressor removal.

The military doesn't use M1A's. They have a somewhat decent but limited supply of M-W's. They recalled all in the hands of CMP shooters. In addition, most of the M-W's in the field have had lockouts installed for many years.
