  • wow finally some one who knows how to make a tutorial guitar vid thanks and the hat for me too is a plussssssssssss...

  • Excellent lesson this one and your last one have got me back into the blues and funk mood!

  • Some cool licks there! Another goody is the very beginning of Johnny B. Goode - sliding a double stop on the 4th frets of the B and E strings up to the fifth fret. Classic!

  • nice. i fucking love ur hat!!

  • awsome stuff,, hey you look like you are related to kid rock??

  • i love marty!!!!

    please give more funk lessons

  • I'm sure other people noticed, but those "half steps" he used are simply two notes from the A Major scale. IMHO, everyone should try and blend the pentatonic and scales shapes together in their solos. It is the only way to get the true blues sound we all love.

  • Yeah they are in A major, but in this context it forms A dorian, not A major, as he started on C, which is a minor third above the root. A major works as well of course - that's the beauty of the blues!

  • Hey Marty...thanks, man! That was sweeeet!

  • dorianololo...he played with Santana didn't he???

    nice lesson and sweet guitar!
