It's been shown that Mormon scholars only tend to reveal the parts of LDS doctrine that appear the most Biblical. They'll say Jesus is the Christ, He died for mankind, He resurrected, etc. But they won't reveal the doctrines that set apart Mormonism from Christianity, like Jesus' atonement happened in the Garden of Gethsemane instead of the cross, that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, that Jesus is our spirit brother, etc.

The translations have edited and updated for spelling errors and changes in language and so on, but the Greek texts from which the Bible comes are intact and unchanged since ancient times. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove this, at least from the perspective of the old Testament, and there are many ancient New testament fragments and partials that confirm the validity of it as well. The scribes that the original writers of the New Testament used to compile the New Testament were Greek, because Koine Greek was the trade and business language of Jesus' time & geographical location, much as English is now in many parts of the world. There were no edits to the Bible at Nicaea, they merely got together to decide if the Apocrypha and Gnostic writings should be in the Bible. Nothing is missing from the Bible, and God is in control. The only errors are in translation, not in Greek

They are taught to pray about reading the BOM and then they will be given a sign or testament of it's truth by a feeling or some revelation. Well, I know Mormons believe that God the Father has always been. They believe Jesus created this system we now live in under the direction of the Father AND they also believe Jesus has always been. They also believe that we are all infinite. Humans were all created spiritually before physically as we are now. So, I think you're misunderstood about their teachings. One thing is clear, LDS don't believe Elohim (H.Father) has always been God. He was once a man on a planet who by obedience became exalted. It is true that Smith said that the mind is eternal (King Follet), but LDS don't talk about that.
