  • Oh man.. i cant find ways to show gratitide towards this video, but i have been finding better ways to tie a snell and this is it!!!

  • wow amazing.. im definitely gona learn how to do this!

    thanks!! =D

  • No problem-- glad we could help. When you get the hang of it, the rigs you produce look really professional!

  • would it be stronger if you did a clinch knot with a bunch of the leftover tag end? that way you'd have a knot on the shank and on the line about the hook.

  • I would recommend choosing one or the other. A clinch knot is also a strong, reliable knot but I'm not sure it would be an improvement to either to double up...

  • i just have a problem trusting that one pass through the loop

  • As far as I know, this knot is the most common way to snell a hook to a line. The finished knot works very much like a Clinch knot works-- all the wraps cinch down and lock the tag end in securely. If there is a better way to tie a Snell Knot, let me know. I'd hate to lose fish for people that are using our knot!!

  • oh ill let yea know, for years iv been useing polamer or the fishermans, not the one in most vids on here its like a improved clintch...any ways i learned it from the back of a eagle claw pack. i want to snell my hooks now for better hook sets...lol im not trying to discredit ur knots at all, just saying thats all

  • thanks for that mate that will come in handy
