It was originally part of an installation and performance called ‘If I can’t hear, I don’t see’ by the live art company Private Thoughts in Public Places at the Triple X festival in Amsterdam, 1998.
The performance used found texts from product instructions and advertising, set to music mixed live. Musician Gary Shepherd included the piece on his Streamer CD, Blissed, and it was then licensed to 2 Many DJs.
