Super Metroid 100% Speed Run (1 of 15)

In my opinion this is the greatest speedrun ever done for any game on any system. Simply remarkable. To me even more impressive then the non %100 run done for this game.

i dont have my snes anymore.. its so old (didnt kno howe to get inside and clean it).. it broke.. couldnt find another one.. not to mention the crtridges.. so i resorted to an emulator

notice that Samus can never hang on to a single upgrade from game to game except for metroid prime 2 and 3 when you start with the Varia Suit and go on from there but still great run

I still find it hard to believe that she beat this game in Under an Hour with 100% items gained. But if that's the case, I'll accept it. if not, what's to believe?

My record stands at 01: 15 at 100% and I've been going as fast as she's going.

I once came in 2nd place for a speed run record back in the 90's, 00:46 at 35% item rate.

It won me a Virtual Boy w/ 3 games.

yeah.. this speed run is legit.

If you go through her speed run you'll notice a few errors where she should could have cut off some time.

I'm guessing someone could possibly do it in 50 minutes with 100% gained. But then there is always human error :)

My knowledge of Video Games is vast, but I can't help but wonder how Red Scarlet managed to beat the game in 00:55 min at 100%. My best record stands at 01:15 at 100% (00:54 at 42% for my fastest time). I'll comment on all 15 videos and show you what I did as well. I'll have my own videos soon.
