As far as the poll, cant really argue about that either, although there are a couple of classical/ acoustic guitarists who i think would certainly be worth their place in list.......

Just because the masses voted for these doe"nt mean that "they" are right.

Music is subjective ... like films. Probably out of deep respect, I refuse to split my loyalties between Jimmy Page and David Gilmour -- love both bands immensely ... it just wouldn't feel right picking a favorite between them so they are tied. JP/DG = two totally different styles ... that makes it easier for me not to choose a favorite.

@KarmicOmen Actually, the poll came down to a tie for #1 between Jimmy and David -- they had to do a separate poll to decide a favorite between them. Ultimately, David won, but when it got down to the wire like that I wouldn't cast a vote.

Sorry, I made a mistake -- just remembered that I actually did cast a vote ... for David. The tie was actually between David and Eric ... but I remember being glad it wasn't between Jimmy and David.

The other amazing thing is all of the work that went into designing his live rig. You can't order or buy that tone easily and not without a lot of money.
