What that other guy said about the early shifting is maybe true, i have a crappy 1.3 Ka all standard no rev meter so i go on the Speed to know when to shift and the sound ofc. But when im going for it il go 1st up till about 10 if that its so short its hard to tell :P, 2nd up to 30/35mph then 3rd takes me to 60mph and 4th all the way to 80mph. and 5th has taken me to about 103/104 the top speeds supposed to be 96 but its aint lol. my names LukeD1uk on the KaKlub forums say hi if your on there.
@Mulac19 Yeh i do mine a bit diff now a days as i have air filter etc. my gear ratios are a little longer. 1st: 25 2nd 45 3rd 70 4th 90 5th 100+
mines a 1.3 endura but before i did the gears a little wrong now i think i have it down :D iv taken mine up to about 106 (ran out of road) it says in the manual the max speed is 96 that's a lie lol :D
Haha, my 65 Falcon with an automatic tranny goes 0-60 in 6 sec.

my 1.3 duratec is about 1st up to 30, 2nd to 52, 3rd to 75, 4th to 90 or so and I got up to 109 earlier XD
I'm amazed at the difference in lower gears though!!

nice, KA/sportKA are both under-rated cars IMO. The handling and power to weight ratio of the 1.3 is fab. So I bet the 1.6 is a lot of fun to drive.
