Is there a plan or something to comfirm the root of the railway.I have a caravan there and have been trying to work out the position of buildings etc.
Even though I was there at the time I find it hard to make out the old route. Now they have built all the new roads and buildings the ground layour is unrecognisable! Perhaps it might be possible to follow the line of 'bungalows' to the right of the end shot?
Just found this clip - memories brought back!!! There is a yellow chalet after the caravan park which is now a doctors surgery (?).
As a child, this challet used to be our holiday home.
As you walk along the road in the caravan park towards this challet, there is a tree-lined fence on your right, directly behind this fence is where the railway line ran.
I surprised I remember this as I would have only been 6 when the railway closed
