1) I´m not homosexual but that doesn´t mean I can´t appreciate this movie which in fact I like a lot.

2) The sickest queer who shot this movie, as you described it, was a German called Rainer Werner Fassbinder and yeah, in fact he was a one self declared bisexual.

An absolutely amazing movie. It was difficult enough bringing Jean Genet's challenging cult novel to the big screen, but Fassbinder did a remarkable job in being both faithful to the source material as well as adding more modern sensibilities/experimentation. The lighting, colors, and art direction are incredible. I am still in awe of theatrical stylization of the film.
