in order to get pro tools working on Windows 7 all you have to do is install pro tools without hooking up the mbox if it says plug it up don't! just keep installing pro tools then hook it up after its already installed

That's not true mines works on windows 7 just fine I've recorded like 20 songs since I've had my pro tools check my youtube to see my recording quality

I have a question,please somebody,anybody.I dont know what to do about it...,here it goes...when i record a track i hear my sound ok,but when i go to record another track i hear echo and i have to put the mix button down and i can't hear what i played on my first track,please some one could help me to solve this?,please.I will apreciate someone's help...Thanks alot.I use DR3200 from korg and i plug all the instrument cable on it and it goes to mbox and then to my pc W7,im doing something wrong?

@Andrewcarovideos do you have an mbox? If so don't hook it up while installing pro tools even if it says plug it up don't do it just keep installing pro tools restart your computer then hook it up and start running pro tools it should be fine

@SuperChicanorap They will tell you that you need to pay some yearly subscription...the easy cheap way, if you're just doing home recording, is to download an MP3 Converter. Bounce your pro tools sessions into stereo interleaved WAV files, then convert them using the converter into MP3 files...really simple

What is he doing at 09:28 ? I know he says he is "adding compression to the master fader", but why is he putting the compressor as an insert on the lower track in the video ? How is that a master fader? Im not being sarcastic here mind u, Im trying to learn :)

need help with pro tools ok If you listen to the song Lollipop by Lil Wayne I'm trying to get a song hook comming out the speakers like the hook in that song I mean normally it's just a solid sound comming out the speakers but I want it Like comming from a 3 demention and soft instead of one straight line. The second one I need help with is getting a voice to a deeper effect like in Mixcraft there's a feature where you have a scale that can bring the voice to a chipmunk type

@brilliantou Useless video? Try USELESS PROGRAM!!!! Pro Tools got their little butts hurt by Ardour!!. Oh, poor babies sued Ardour! Linux/Ardour is in the process of completing the midi integration. All of the laspa effects are there already, and there is an English company to buy plugins from for cheap. Protools is dead. Get Linux, goto you package manager and download it. It is already there.

Arm your track and make sure its on the right input. I would name your input, then you record and you should hear yourself

hey I had the same problem. What you need to do is look at the top right conner of the edit window. There is a downward pointing arrow. Click on it. then click on transport. this will bring up the transport controls. So, you have record enable on then click the red record button on the transport control, then click space bar and you are set to go.
