My Dad was in the same place, probably at the same time but he was on the USS Ontonagon which was a CG fuel hauler. My dad died in 1958 so this is a precious piece of video for me to watch and listen to. Dad had written some letters that I have and they sound very similar to this story. Dad was in Okinawa when they announced the end of the war. I thank this gentleman for his stories. Thank you for posting it!!!! Sincerely, Judy Sheridan
