also, it was really easy to figure out. each time there's four times as many kings as before.

at the beginning: 1 king

then 4 kings

then 16 kings

then 64 kings

then 256 kings

then 1024 kings

then 4096 kings

then 16384 kings

Well I'm a writer not a mathematician, what'd you expect?

Although it does occur to me that all you need to do is work out the full screen size, divide it by 16384, then work out how much space Alice takes up and divide the full size by that, then do... something; I dunno, with the numbers and you would be able to work out how many kings present when she is.
