You landed slightly tilting to the right the right gear bounces off the runway very quickly forcng the left gear down at extreme speed you didn,t have enough ground speed to overide the massive forve so the plane crashed to the left
Flare to about 10 degrees and touchdown at 155 knots. You stalled on your flare at 140 knots and that is not a good thing to do in a 747-400. Also try lining up with the runway a mile or 2 out before landing instead of aligning yourself 300 feet before touchdown. In that mission there is no wind so it is possible to align yourself about 5 miles out. Deploying the spoilers before landing caused you to stall + work on your glide slope PS I'm a US Airways Pilot, so I know what I'm talking about.
flaps should have been 45 about 2 mile before that. the approach was too high, glide slope too steep. the reason you crached is because you dumper the throttle too early and stalled
you are not using the flaps properly and making sharp turns while landing. You have to come directly straight to the runway instead swinging right or left. One other thing is you were too high before you hit the runway. U gotta be lower and a bit faster.
Every plane from a Cessna to a heavy has what is called V speeds. As long as you use the correct speeds on takeoff, approach and landing makes it easier. All depends on the weight of an airplane. do a google search on aircraft operating checklists for a particular plane you fly to get the V speeds for that plane. Its all about the training. good flying bro!
I'm both a real pilot and a sim pilot. You mention you have not flown a heavy in a while. Take small steps. Get used to landing in smaller planes and work up to heavier. When a person not used to the speed of a heavy on landing (It lands at the top speed of a Cessna) There is a tendancy to pull back too much on the power because it looks like your going too fast. In heavies just about all landings are power on. Do not Idle on approach or it will drop on you. Especially MD-11's . Enjoy!!
Ok, I'll be nice and give you some advice. I've been a Flight Simulator pilot for about 6 years. First thing's first. You got a 747 there. Final approach speed should be no more that 155mph with 30 degrees of flaps. Second, your nose was too low, which increased the angle of attack on final. Third, your approach speed was way to fast.. Now, idk how far were you when you started your approach; but I would've went around.. No disrespect, I'm just trying to help a fellow FSX pilot. Have a nice day.
you came in to the left and tilted sideways slightly. thus, the plane was not level and hit the ground way too hard considering how slow you were going
You need at least GPS approch to have more time to prepare the actual landing. The 747 is to big, to be handled completely manually. Was that a crosswind landing? Or did you put in such violent commands?
Even the smaller 737 is very hard to land, without an alignment of an autopilot or a second pilot.
The first sound is the approaching stall warning...it means your airspeed is nearing 160 knots and falling. Way, because the nose is going up and down so violently, causing stalls and thrust loses. Even with full flaps the 747 needs at least 165 knots, a very stable flying style and much thrust, to fly safely at low speed. Thrust was applied, but you handled the controls to violently and you panicked clearly over it.
Than on the last approach seconds, you were leveled with the runway, but instead of putting in idel thrust and glide towards the runway to touch down, you pulled up the nose, which caused the turbines to not get enough air, you lost speed and thrust at the same time and the plane stalled...than you tried to force it on the runway, but now the thrust came back and slammed you into the ground.
There are very many manuals about FSX in YouTube were you can learn to use the GPSs and the autopilot together. You don't need the flight plan to put in GPS routes and you can select approach patterns. And before trying to fly the queen of the skies(I know 747-400!), you should try smaller jets, like the 737 or the CRJ 700.
3. you're not paying attention to the 4 lights at the left of the runway, try to have 2 red and 2 white.
4. its first RTFM (read the fucking manual) then fly, so first theory than flight.
5. first get at least your PPL
6. biggest mistake of all, there isn't a pilot in the world who would do a VFR landing with a big plane like that, use ILS (VFR=visual flight rules ILS=instrument LANDING system )
It was a mixture of you touching down way too hard and weird FSX dynamics when not landing at sea level. the beeping sound was one of the markers, it's just a sound signal that helps you know how far off the runway you are. But I think that you came in too fast, too hard and the wings weren't leveled.
Your approach was off, you were going in too damn fast, at the end you were over controlling and you banked to the left when you were landing while you should've kept your wings straight.
@RCACsurvivorman He didn't go to slow, he went a bit to fast. A 747 with fully extended flaps should land at about 120-130 knots. This guy had 30 digrees and went 150-160 ;) 140-150 would be more proper speed.
the 2 747 misions have a major bug prob.... even as i did a perfect AirForce 1 quality landing the renyas just east up the plane.... ur landin was bad btw
This is like a glitched FSX mission cause' every time I play it, that happens to me as well even if I land on the actual part of the runway at regular speeds
The sound that sounded like a telephone was a warning alarm - sinkrate, you were sinking heavily. It happened because you werent landing at a optimum speed approach, which should be around 140 Knots, you had flown the airplane at around 170 Knots.
i imagine the wind was really gusty, say the wind was 140 @ 20 gusting to 30
if your usual app speed is 160 (probably not the 747 app. speed but who cares) you add the 10 knots difference for the gust, and i imagine that there was a downdraft.
lol pretty funny to watch xD If u still play fsx and dont know it yet here it is: U were way high on approach which and u make a rapid descent which can lead to a way too high speed at landing which would probably cause u to overshoot. The alarm that was saying Sink rate means u descent too fast. At minimums u stalled or something cause minimum speed in that mission is 155 k i think
Truthfully i would have rather died in that plane than to have actually landed and had to suffer through a lecture from the FAA on how I F'ed up the landing... You did an illegal landing here lol. You landed on before the displaced threshold. Haha say, "bye bye pilot license".
this happened because your speed was slow about 160 knots and too high. the alttitude of this airport is 9000 feet, in this alttitude the air is very thin so it means less lift so you need to be about 175,170 maximum 180 knots with full flaps.
You overstressed your gear and it failed under the weight of the plane (this is about as sophisticated as FSX's crash system gets). Hence, you died. :P
my guess is you were over weight and you tried to land. you were too slow. remember pitch for speed throttle for altitude. increase the power if youre falling :) and you landed too early! that area is for taxi and takeoff only, gotta land abeam the numbers or after!
Also watching your engine data screen you seam to pull the power to idle just before touchdown. typically this correct, but not when you have a sink rate alarm going off. This only made your sink rate worse. trying to flare and land with a sink rate of 1900 will result in a crash every time.
You seamed to be flying a strong crosswind. being a mission im sure that was the case. also your approach speed was very low. thats what caused the hard landing and the plane to rollover on touch down. the Main gear on the left side failed. the beeping going off is a marked beacon letting you know your on glide path. you should hear this your full final approach, but it gets annoying so i mute it. it is also indicated by a blue light on the MFD. You fell through the glide.
wow u got hit with 2 downdrafts and a crosswind on the last part of your approach, the last downdraft is what did you in it pushed you right into the runway
Man i have answer, quito is very high alttitude and the power must be higher to avoid stalling, so at airports with more altitude to increase spending more fuel more power than a normal airport. :D
if the flaps of the 747 are full and the throttle is about 15-0% you will have a VERY bad stall , so hold up the throttle and push it down at about 30 feet over the runway (bad english ?XD D)
Idiot u were too high on approaching & too fast. When u started falling down 00:30 at a point u were leveled for approaching angle 00:55 (notice those 4 lights turning red from yellow at the starting of runway, 2red 2yellow is right combination of descend) but kept falling further and finally Bruuuushhhhh.
Which mission u were on, let me know.
And finally try to learn & use ILS approach rather than VLS. ILS makes aiplane lands automatically. This will help u fly heavy metals like never before.
man this is a stall landing... when you reach the Final Approach Fix you have to be in your final landing configuration! You can't add notches of flaps so close to the runway or the aircraft will slow down if you don't correct this effect with the throttle and the heavy ass of the 747 will eventually drop down when you pitch the nose up!
@Krispysquare Not to be Mean or anything you want 2White and 2 red 4 white means your to high and 4 red means your to low and im not trying to be Mean
Uhh the Quito mission. I can remember it took me some 10 attempts to land because the plane always stalled on the very final approach due to the extreme ASL...even after a perfectly prepared approach. But finally made it.
Ur back wheel hit the ground first, that caused a sudden jerk, right as the jerk happened, ur front wheels hit the ground, therefore causing u to flip over and die
@ansettaddict123 This happened ALL THE TIME to me too!! I investigated and it turns out that if your rate of descent is ridiculously high then the simulator just crashes you through the ground! I couldn't quite see here but I think your rate of decent was 2000+ ft per sec which.....well......lets just say would turn you into a pilot-pancake! Great vid though, thanks for posting!
he man the 747 of fsx who it come with him it is just a piece of crap me to some time hapen with me just like this and this problem come just with 747 of fsx

wow u got hit with 2 downdrafts and a crosswind on the last part of your approach, the last downdraft is what did you in it pushed you right into the runway
rthrgry 9 months ago
Man i have answer, quito is very high alttitude and the power must be higher to avoid stalling, so at airports with more altitude to increase spending more fuel more power than a normal airport. :D

747 suks n any 1 plyin online on fsx add zackman144
zackman2933 9 months ago
if the flaps of the 747 are full and the throttle is about 15-0% you will have a VERY bad stall , so hold up the throttle and push it down at about 30 feet over the runway (bad english ?XD D)

Why does nobody use ILS
Exagerative 9 months ago
Idiot u were too high on approaching & too fast. When u started falling down 00:30 at a point u were leveled for approaching angle 00:55 (notice those 4 lights turning red from yellow at the starting of runway, 2red 2yellow is right combination of descend) but kept falling further and finally Bruuuushhhhh.
Which mission u were on, let me know.
And finally try to learn & use ILS approach rather than VLS. ILS makes aiplane lands automatically. This will help u fly heavy metals like never before.

What was your vertical speed? Seems like a bit to much, or is just me ? Hope it helps you.

man this is a stall landing... when you reach the Final Approach Fix you have to be in your final landing configuration! You can't add notches of flaps so close to the runway or the aircraft will slow down if you don't correct this effect with the throttle and the heavy ass of the 747 will eventually drop down when you pitch the nose up!
fryanventu 10 months ago
you landing better than me,when i landing i always crash i dont know how to pull nose up
JakusXX 10 months ago
i believe it was a stall. problem solved
leo3604 10 months ago
it is the matter of what button you clicked. if you did not click anything, that means that you just suck. that means you'r an idiot!
joe123oak1 10 months ago
Lol! you need to reduce speed to about 10% Also another thing is that those lights you see at the runway are supposed to be all white
Krispysquare 10 months ago
@Krispysquare Not to be Mean or anything you want 2White and 2 red 4 white means your to high and 4 red means your to low and im not trying to be Mean

the wheel is broking and you'r sucks...
7544jeroen 10 months ago
Uhh the Quito mission. I can remember it took me some 10 attempts to land because the plane always stalled on the very final approach due to the extreme ASL...even after a perfectly prepared approach. But finally made it.

you were too high-
sinking too fast= the sink rate alarm-
you pulled up too hard, you stalled and sank faster-
you hit the ground hard-
lost your landing gear-
and the runway ate you...
dog009988 11 months ago
I think the engine broke
DanielDefoe1998 11 months ago
Ur back wheel hit the ground first, that caused a sudden jerk, right as the jerk happened, ur front wheels hit the ground, therefore causing u to flip over and die

dragata1 7 months ago
@ansettaddict123 This happened ALL THE TIME to me too!! I investigated and it turns out that if your rate of descent is ridiculously high then the simulator just crashes you through the ground! I couldn't quite see here but I think your rate of decent was 2000+ ft per sec which.....well......lets just say would turn you into a pilot-pancake! Great vid though, thanks for posting!
