you describe that the intake of "healthy" carbohydrates is good for your body, and i totally agree, but you forget to tell which carbohydrates are actually "healthy". these would be: full grain bread & noodles, fruit, potatoes and basmati rice. however i also wouldnt eat too much of them, as they still make you fat by increasing your insulin, which pumps glycose in your fat tissue, making fatty acids to triglycides, thereby preventing them from leaving the fat cell.
@Lightf001 Have u heard about the minnesota starvation experiment?? there is a video about it here on youtube by Zoe Harcombe.. also check her video about Calorie myth.. Have u heard the fact that Hormones regulate our body?? not calories..
@Lightf001 How can u say that? Fat protein vitamins minerals r essential nutrients.. Carbs r NOT!! even Wikipedia says that!! U Mention Calories?do u understand what a calorie is?u probably belive the calorie formula 1£ of fat=3500 calorie.. Can u prove this formula??
@XxeMo123GiRlxX you would need to go to the doctors and ask about it i know my moms side has a metabolism where our body starts to save food as fat if we eat less often because its like an old survival thing but the more we eat the more we burn off, i used to eat more then 4 of my friends lunches put together and some of the bigger ones lunch and i only weighed 110 its been 6 years and im still only 130 from eating like crazy the weight came from the height i dont know how much maybe 1/2 foot
Europeans and Americans eat a higher volume of carbs hint: thats why they are fatter! asian people eat rice (smaller portion) with more vegtable and small amount of meat. find on youtube asian recipe and start eating it and you will lose weight and besides asian foods are addictive i.e. thai, korean, chinese, japanese
@savvy1954 i know this is late but you couldn't be more wrong my father gained atleast 50 pounds from moving to Asia and going on their diet for half a year you couldn't even recognize him from far and ya it was their actual food not some restaurants he needed to move there for work and came back more fat then i had ever seen him and he used to be really muscular from our so called higher carb diet (rice and vegetables are carbs)
I don't believe there is such a thing as nutritionally nessasary carbs. It's basically one of two types of fuel for the body,the other being fat.Fat on the other hand is nutritionally nessasary,meaning you MUST have some form of it in your diet.Besides low carb dieting is just that "low carb" not eliminating carbs altogether,it's more a way of "switching" the bodies "primary" source of fuel from sugar to fat. I agree with Steve,people are addicted to carbs.
Tell this shit to a professional bodybuilder...most (including Arnold) eat/ate under 100g a day. Lean as fuck, has the energy to workout 5-6 hours a day...

You need to give examples of good carbs, like vegetables and whole grain rice, buckwheat and quinioa
Sugar= insulin= fat storage

So true. Asian food is the best ! (Actually I just chinese last night, haha)
garudasphinx 2 years ago
but its not hte 'carbohydrates'. its the 'bad' carohydrates or the combination of certain food.
for exemple pasta with olive oil is no problem at all, but if u join with proteins (olognese) or fat (carbonara) it stores more in ur body.
sorry for my english
bottom line ; u need the right amount of everything, and carbs can be 'healthy' and 'unhealthy'

@Psyche3333
Maybe people are addicted to protein.
You can make an argument out of anything. Get real - we need carbs. Carbs don't make you fat - calories do.
Lightf00t1 1 year ago
this is idiotic, carbs are no better fuel than fat, people are simply addicted to carbs and love to hear 'experts' tell them to keep eating carbs
even though they are FAT
