And please stop comparing this with UFC,BJJ and other sports. This is self defence not a sport! In the octagon all fighters how only use WC or WT will get there ass kicked. But on the street using distance, speed and the the element of surprise you can come a long way with this system.
This is WT not WC there is a difference guys! After Yip man died his closed door studens Leung Ting, William Cheung had different opinions on the philosophy behind WC. So Leung Ting made WT and William Cheung stayed with the traditional WC. This is not Emin Boztepe's Combat Martial Arts System this is Leung Ting´s WT. So let ́s get the facts straight first guys!
@christianaaris Sorry friend but Cheung did not stayed with the traditional WC cause this thing does not exits..... You can see alot studens that learned form Yip Man no one do wing chun like Grand master Cheung.... you can also type Yip man forms and you will see that he do forms and moves different from Cheung
When you punch boxingstyle your chin is protected behind your shoulder. If you punch wing chun style you will get knocked out easily cuz the aint protected. its easy as abc
@yeon723 Believe me I know what Im talking about. WC punch is punching without defending your chin and also your face doenst move so its easy to hit. Also your vunerable to be taken down. Also it lacks power. There are many errors in WC punch but most WC guys are hardheads and dont want to see the truth. Its a shame cuz its waste of time. If they only trained other stuff, they could be so much better fighters.
@minasz LOL, wow you managed to figure it all out behind your computer, goodjob. You're one of those guys who believe jiu jitsu is the key to eternal life and believe everything Joe Rogan says. Amirite? Go find a real wing chun sifu and test your skills. You'd get your ass kicked. Do you know that UFC trainers and fighters learn wing chun at the moment? ask me for the source I'll gladly give it to you.
@yeon723 Dude, clearly you dont know me. Im a fighter and I train 2 days a day 4 times a week. Im just giving my opinion and being honoust. I have fought agains so called good WC fighters and I have examened WC. If it was something that works I would say that also. There are maybe a few techniques in the whole system that work, but you can find those also in arts that do work as a whole with no fantasy between them. Joe Rogan, whats up with him and give me one example than
@yeon723 Dude I never stated that Jiu Jiutsu is the key, I think it also has it flaws, but if you compare it to WC, I believe JJ is more realistic, if you add some Muay Thai and Boxing you will become a more dangerous fighter. Thats what Im doing. i searching for the truth and want to be the fighter I can be. WC will not help me. Also wich UFC guy trains WC, And what has Joe Rogan has to do with my view. GIve me just one video of WC that shows that it works in a real fight.
@minasz Ok if you're talking about being an overall decent fighter then I agree it's smart to learn a bit of everything. However, dismissing WC as a whole completely is stupid because WC as a defense system is legitimate. If you're talking about practicality Jiu Jitsu is not practical in a real fight. Yes, fighters might hit the ground but if you have the skills for good standup there is no need to go to the ground at all. Like I said UFC trainers and fighters do WC at the moment.

@yeon723 Im talking about being a fighter and being a fighter is doing what is needed to keep yourself out of danger. In my opinion WC has many errors that will bring you in danger. Sorry to say it. Offcourse there are some techniqs that maybe work but its a handfull. Who is training WC in MMA, What do they train, I really am curious cuz it maybe will change my mind, but I doubt that. About MMA standup..Bones Jones, Machida, Rua, Hendo, Silva, GSP, Dos Santos ect all have great stand up
@minasz First of all just because I'm on this video and defending WC does not mean I agree with anything in the video or any video that I watch. Sorry but UFC trainers and fighters are more credible than you and your opinion doesn't mean jack shit anyway. It shows how intelligent you are when you can't differentiate between good and bad WC. Nobody says that a punch can't come fast like boxers, you forget that WC ppl can also block fast. Stop nitpicking at DEMONSTRATIONS
@yeon723 This is exactly what I mean that you WC followers always get mad and out of controll when you hear the truth. Again I am a fighter, I have a record of 11-1 and I train 4 times a week and 2 times a day. If I though WC has good stuff I would train that also. But all I see is errors. Just give me one video of some WC guy in a real fight and exploring WC in a good / lethel way. Dude it doesnt excist and that says enough. Again wich UFC fighters train in WC. Cant name one? hahah
@minasz I'm mad? lol I don't get mad at people are ignorant because you've finally asked me to provide you with facts. Look up Tommy Carruthers. It was say Jeet Kune Do but the concepts you see in there are basically all wing chun techniques used in a combat system. Not the traditional WC. UFC trainers and fighters is in the hour long documentary "How Bruce Lee Changed the World" because it's an hour long i'm not going to watch it and find the part where UFC trainers talk
@yeon723 Dude you sound really frustrated and ILMAO! You come up with nothing only non facts. Dude i saw How BL changed the world, and there is no way in this docu they say that WC works or train in WC. Stop lying dude. About Tommy Carrutcher. Dude I know this guy and he also as I dont believe in WC or its trapping. So in his JKD he threw all the trapping stuff paksao lapsao bongsao chi sao and many more sao's out. Also he doenst stands as a WC guy or punches like WC. Its all a waste.
@minasz If you watched it then how the hell did you miss the part where UFC trainers and fighters were doing WC? JKD is branch off of WC if you can't agree with that then that is your problem because Bruce lee was the one who created this concept of JKD. To adapt useful techniques from all styles and using it to make the individual better. You can see TONS of WC in JKD in the form of traps and attack moves. I never once claimed WC beats everything in my comments have I?
@yeon723 What I have too say is that you R a joke. JKD is not WC. BL threw Wing Chun away cuz it didnt work. So those UFC guys are not training WC at all whahah. You just dont get do you. And where is that video of a real fight where you can see WC works. Cant find it he..do you hahah...Dude go play with your Michael Jackson doll. You really dont have any clue..hahah
@yeon723 Jo DickInFace, watch your language, if you cant discuss stop discussing. What you are pretending is there, aint there. That is NOT WC, its about JKD. JKD is far away from WC. Its like comparing apples with peers. You just dont get. Please go listen to your Michael Jackson songs and stop trying to know about JKD and WC.
@minasz He did not completely throw wing chun away dumbshit. He incorporated with boxing and a lot of other techniques that he learned from other styles. You can see WC in a lot of his movies still, it was still in the core of his hand techniques along with boxing. I know more about Bruce Lee than you, so don't even bother.
@yeon723 At the beginning BL's JKD was WC, Boxing and Fencing as a base, cuz that what he allready knew. Then he started throwing techniques out and training in other techniques. At the end of BL life there was almost NO WC in his system. He added more boxing techniques with Muay Thai, Savate, Jiu Jiutsu, Judo and was chaning his stance more like boxers stance ect. He looked like a MMA fighter. Read his books, thoughts, Tao of JKD. There s nothing about WC. You know nothing, only air!
@yeon723 And what do you see in his movies, Are you talking about those paksao lapsao stuff in Enter the Dragon hahah thats only for the movie cuz it looks flashy, but first of all, nobody fights like that and nobody will ever do that in a fight, cuz it doenst work. BL looks more like a MMA/Standup fighter with Boxing an little grappling techniqes. You see that in the last fight in Enter the Dragon or Game of Dead. Thats more MMA dude then WC. Again you proof you dont know SHIT.
@minasz Haha you're fucking blind if you can't see the trainers were doing Wing Chun in that documentary. JKD has tons of WC concepts But you wouldn't know because you dont know shit about WC. Again, watch at 34 minutes of what the trainers are doing, that is wing chun lap da, pak da, and huen da. Just cause you're in denial it doesn't change the fact that jkd has a lot of jkd concepts. Learn proper grammar before debating with me, you're probably getting hit in the head too much
@minasz Maybe you should take some Wing Chun classes LOL. JKD is the evolved form of WC, you just admitted yourself that you could see tons of WC in Bruce Lee Movies, it's just that he added boxing footwork and the fluidity of snap punches along with his core of WC. That is how JKD is formed, it's a mixture of all the techniques that he feels are useful. I have the fucking tao of JKD in front of me right now so I know wtf I'm talking about dumbshit.
@yeon723 Correct! WC was in the beginning a base of JKD with Boxing and Savate, But at the time went on and he started to study arts, movements and realness in fighting. Sooner than Later WC was almost thrown out of his JKD. There was almost no WC left. Tons of WC in his movies whaha thats funny. You see tons of other thechniques in his movies and 1 paksao move, only to do something flashy, Again BL looked more like a Kickboxer than a WCguy at the time his life was coming to an end
@minasz I'll tone it down a little with the bashing. But you really don't see anything in JKD that resembles wing chun in terms of blocking and centerline? cmon now, you can't hate WC that much to absolutely deny it could you? For me personally I love WC and JKD which is why I can see tons of similarities, perhaps you are more of a kick boxer type. Either way we will both agree to disagree I'm pretty much done with this debate as it's subjective.
@yeon723 Ok im glad you tone down a little, cuz I dont understand why people alwayz start calling names if the discussion aint going their way. Ok Im not saying I dont see any WC techniques. I see them but they are almost gone out of BL system at the time it was 1973. He was then more doing more boxing, kicking, grappling than trapping and more WC stuff. Also Im no kickboxer type. I see myself as a surviver and I do whats needed and what suits me.
@minasz And also you are not a fighter with an 11-1 record, it is highly unlikely. Just another keyboard warrior who doesn't know what he's talking about
@yeon723 While you are coming up with nonsense Im training to get better in my fights. Im no fighter haha check my channel. it will tell you about my skill and I only have filmed parts of having fun in training. Cuz the real training can not be filmed cuz concurents would check them. I do have fights and im not gonna say more, cuz I have nothign to proof to you. Only telling you the truth about your beloved WC. a style that doesnt work.
@minasz Not to mention WC is for self defense. People who are learning this are learning how to protect themselves against people who don't know how to fight at a top level. Obviously pure WC alone cannot take the average fighter who is trained in multiple disciplines. There's no point debating with me, I bring facts and I never deny shit I don't understand. Your stance is that WC sucks, I'm here to tell you MMA trainers are currently doing it. Now get popcorn and go watch it again
@yeon723 whahah you really are a meatball. This docu as I said I saw one year ago and it nevers states that WC is da shit and that you should do WC.
