I doubt how good the 3D effect is on the TV. I could feel the depth from the video but that is it. I also agree on that It looks more like a computer graphic not a real 3D that I experienced from theater or 3D TVs.. kinda disappointing... I think I should just buy a passive 3D TV from LG or Vizio cuz at least they are using lightweight 3D glasses. Then I will just wait until the technology becomes perfect.

I do agree though that the images appear to be farther than the screen line, producing depth. And depth may work with some people. But 3D is half depth half pop out. This should be priced half of Active 3DTVs out there to make sense.

No the items did not pop out of the screen. When I try to touch the soccer ball and the phone, I'm touching my laptop screen. The way pop out works is you try to touch what's on the screen, but you end up touching air.

3DTV uses a technique called alternate-frame sequencing when displaying stereoscopic images. Instead of the cheap passive red-cyan lenses that is required when watching 3D movies on a regular HDTV , the viewer uses liquid crystal shutter glasses. This, however, can only work on stereoscopic 3D films or TV programs.....not regular ones.

Oh....the glassless 3D feature is not going to be home for a long time. There are issues with muti-directional effectiveness with the filament screen that replaces the glasses. There is no way that a group of people can enjoy 3D in this way because there is only one or two relative “sweet spots” to get the true 3D effect. If you’re not looking or sitting in the right spot....you’re not going to get the 3D effect.

3D has a ways to go before we can bring it home without glasses.
