  • thanks man. I started off with a trainer 9 months ago and worked my way up to 12 reps on the 1. Now i just closed the 1.5 for 3 reps but ive not come close to the 2. I didnt have a clue "setting" is so important. Now im going to try over the next 6 months to double my reps on the 1.5 and than 6 months after that I hope by using this technique i can close the 2!

  • thanks for the vid. nice close on that #3.

  • Thank You. This is extremely helpful. :-)

  • Cheers-this seems to be making my setting much more consistent now.

  • This is a great video, it's really helped me to close my 160lb gripper. Could never get that last 1/4 inch until now. Thanks.

  • THANK YOU for this. That helped a lot.

  • is this method to close it legal for certification?

  • The requirements by IronMind for certification on the three can be found on their website. You would have to be able to place a credit card inside the handles and remove the other hand before closing... Unless they have changed their standards, but I couldn't find it on their sights when I looked just now :S

  • Thanks John, very well said and demonstrated. Should be "pinned" on the gripboard, if it's not already.

Maybe it will sink in one day.

  • Way helpful. Thank you so much.

  • How many pounds is a "# 3" equal to? anyone know...

  • 280 pounds if the pressure is applied in the middle. According to Ironmind the producer of this CoC gripper.

  • That 3 sure didn't put up too much of a fight. Well done.
