@Gendo3s2k Dude the car is 30 yrs old and don't forget its 192hp at the wheels. This car has no valve-time and no EFI. I bet if you sit in this car and take it for a spin it will feel like alot more than 192whp.
I am going to step in and say that. I own a 1972 240z, its got an L28 and fuel injection. It puts down near 130whp and around 140 ft/lb. Completely stock long block. I don't know where your serious head work it being played in. Serious head work has been proven to yield near 400whp. Japanese L28 builders can make some nasty N/A triple carb power. That being said, there is nothing wrong with a newer gen engine swap. The L series is VERY limited because of the head design.
Don't say "192hp? thats it?" unless you have really driven one of these cars. Over 200whp for a NA L series requires serious head work and race gas. This isnt an r32 skyline guys its not made for an RB26 and doesnt handle like one at speed. 7000rpm in 3rd gear in a NA Z sounds wayy better and is way scarier than any skyline,350z, supra or whatever modern chassis turbo car. These are classics and we dont need to see more bastardized engine swapped S30's.
@kingofbikes69 god damnit thank you, i know what you mean, i hate people that only like new cars with crazy hp. its about the car and the drive, not JUST the specs
IDK guys in japan are 260+ and they make it look easy. but every country has its way of building engines and i they are doin a good job. the engine isnt bad but the airflow is all that these kinda engines needs to be opened up. its all in the head
wow...192hp? that's it??

That's it? Have you done any head work? What kind of cam are you running?

"That's it?" ....a common response, but in reality 192rwhp is quite stout. It takes A LOT of work (and money!) to get bigger numbers out of an NA L6.
