There seems to be a split opinion re: whether it's "I kissed you on the cheek and you were MINE" or "...you were GONE." Gone rhymes better, and to me it kind of sounds more like he's saying that. However, "mine" makes a lot more sense & fits in with the rest of the song. I am stumped!!
