The difference between the VF-1S and VF-1SS:

The VF-1S have 2 missile pod on the Valkyrie's back.

The VF-1SS have 1 missile pod and 1 CANNON (heavy cannon) on the back (Hikaru use this at 1:40 in this video)

I don't know which "S" what mean... but the machine is called in the anime Super Strike Valkyrie (in the movie... in the series I never hear this name).
