What is the maximum range for archers? All the videos I've seen have them running almost into melee range before they engage. Why aren't they sniping across the map?

@akyvid Thanks for the correction. It still seems like a very short maximum range for a ranged class, but it'll depend critically on movement speeds (which also seem very low from the videos) and the ranges of other attacks.

@zomgl2pnoobffs Don't have any experience about K-TERA and end game PvP but on my lvl 22 Archer I could kite every melee class to death. Just need to stun, slow and evade opponent's skills at the right moment (again, that's low level pvp, high level is prolly different).

@555legit They are high... especially the graphic card works hard in this game, no matter what configurations you have. And i don't think that the minimum system requirements in their FAQ, on the website, says that you can play lagg free with them. Often it's not the graphic itself that makes you lagg, it's the large amount of players that are loaded.

Archer in PvP will definetly suck. Over-Shoulder Aiming with that tiny thing without even some help of autotargetting will suck on those strafing and jumping wow-kids.

Oh wow. For a game supposed to be a threat to Lineage 3, Blade and Soul and others I have to say that this game does not give me chills. Not even the slightest.

Yes these are nice graphics but for some reason I feel like there are missing details that make me want to play it. It's like watching black and white television, lol!

I've always played archer in the past (L2, Aion) and Tera will be no exception, but I have the feeling it's little overpowered here. I mean, look at the attack speed, the spam-rate of the arrows is alarming, also the velocity of the projectiles is ultra high, try to dodge them..and add to this the infinite number of arrows you can fire. What I would like to see is 2x longer range at least..this is archer after all and little more realistic attack speed.

@corpusc lol archer shoots while moving = op, melee classes will just be killed over and over again. And this IS an action game, you actually have to aim (olny a few skills can target an enemy).

you can't have a proper shooting/action class because you want a melee person to be "balanced" the same as you? lol that just means its NOT AN ACTION GAME for ranged players. and the melee players have huge hitboxes right up in their face whenever they use their melee weapons, so the aiming for them is trivial.

Tera looks very good, but i don't like shooting arrows while in melee distance like in many other mmos. It would be more immersive to have the option to switch to a melee weapon if enemies are in melee range.

And there is an option to change weapon to melee, thanks god it doesn't happens automatically

@Lumanil Well, this player takes alot less range than possible. You can shoot from like triple that distance, if not even more. and at melee, you can use a 2-hit kick combo that stuns your opponent, then jump back quite far. watch some other vids about archers :)

They tried that with hunters in WoW... Failed at it. You cant have a ranger class using melee attacks. Would yu wanna stick a mob to death if your a caster and a mob is in melee range?

@Lumanil aah but a truly pimp archer has no need of such melee weps, why chance hands when you can just stab something with an arrow then use that same arrow to shoot something else. also i hear, that guns and even bows happen to kill things at close range just as well as they do at long.
