In the manga that cue ball can't move Kenshiro's arm even an inch and in all that time Kenshiro kept making fun of him. After the arm wrestling is over Ken throws in a mean look saying "Hmph, you got lucky". I wonder why they changed that badass scene and toned it down for the anime?

@cnh2132 Which version of the manga are you talking about? I'm on book 4 of the Master Edition that came out in the early 2000s (2003 I think). From what I hear, they stop publishing it after volume 9. I have no idea where in the story that book ends. How far does it go? Someone told me the Vis comics version went all the way to Jagi's story then stopped.

@MrAcast84 This particular moment (arm wrestling with egg head) occurred in Volume 6 of the classic black and white manga. It's the Amiba Arc segment. Volume 7 is about Toki, Whigur and Cassandra prison, Volume 8 introduces Raoh and his fights with Rei, Toki and Kenshiro and Volume 9 covers Yuda's Nanto Kokaku Ken Arc and his fight with Rei (and this is where the master edition stopped).

I wanted to buy the colored edition too, but knowing that they only did 9 volumes out of 27, i passed.

This scene is kinda different from the manga. Before Kenshiro, Gyuki was challanged by an ex-sumo wrestler who wanted the food. That guy lost and had his hand sliced with that machinery under the table. Also, Gyuki was boustfull saying that Toki's magic increased his strength several times and yet he couldn't move Kenshiro's arm even an inch. He became all sweatty after a few tries and of course Kenshiro taunted him: "Care to try harder?"
