Most drummers are there to play a beat and keep a band in time, Danny however seems to mould the rest of the band around his drums, it almost as if they sing.

I don't know how many times I've seen this video now - but every time I watch it I'm blown away. The man is a God damn alien! I saw Tool play at Red Rocks awhile back - my eyes were full of tears of awesomeness. The man is unmatched. In my opinion the greatest drummer alive, and perhaps the greatest drummer to ever live.

It is just an opinion.... but it would be very difficult to argue that Danny Carey is not the greatest drummer of modern times.. Among many other greats, of course... But I could sit and listen to an entire album of just him playing drums...
