well, toilet seats in France, especially in bars and at the Universities have become RARE ... so I promise I'll never complain if the toilet seat is left UP as long as there IS a toilet seat....
this toilet seat thing is really universal. Living in Europe and I have the same thing going on. Why is it that it bothers me so much (being a female) that "men" just can't put the bloody thing DOWN after they finished their bizniz. Great clip though. thanks for sharing. I might just shrug my shoulders the next time and leave it be. It's something genetic you know, men can't just DO IT, so better move on and just drop the subject once and for all.
@CleverDjembe - Whoaaaa... d@mn. I WILL put the seat up for MEN from now on... Im so relieved!!! Im such a Stupid Ignorant Woman (whore). Thanks for this perfect solution....
@shanna1950: Why is the man expected to put the seat down.
Why dont you leave the seat up for the man.
Why is it always, always the woman complains about the man not leaving the seat down.
I have not heard a man complain that the women never leaves the seat up for the man.
Yeah, your right, women should not be so small minded to make an issue out of something totally unimportant. If a women is going to complain about something, how about something with substance and significance please!
@happyharv1 - well * I* think the toilet seat subject is something of substance and significance... I'm free to make a BIG DEAL out of it, I hope...? My solutioin would be, 2 toilets, one for the male and one for the female.
@happyharv1 - well * I* think the toilet seat subject is something of substance and significance... I'm free to make a BIG DEAL out of it, I hope...? My solutioin would be, 2 toilets, one for the male and one for the female.
@shanna1950: Well how about this: When the toilet seat is down the man lifts it up and uses the toilet and when the toilet seat is up the woman puts it down and uses it....and neither person makes an issue out of it.
It is like making a silly issue about the bathroom door being left open or kept closed.
If the door is open then walk right in ...if the door is closed then open the door.
Pretty simple.Nothing complicated.Until someone makes an issue out of the bathroom door being open or closed
@happyharv1 - whatever suits you is fine for you. And I happen to have another opinion about it. A toilet seat with the seat up, looks very much like a mouth which is WIDE OPEN. NOT a pretty face to look at. So it needs to be SHUT (UP), so to speak. It's a bit like opening a door for a lady. It's about good manners. This discussion is endless. I think each couple should see what works best for them.
@shanna1950: The easiest thing to do is NOT make it an issue. My girlfriend does not make it an issue. She is also perplexed as to why SOME WOMEN just have to make an issue out of it. When the seat is up she puts it down. When the seat is down I lift it up.Nothing is ever said about it. Not worth mentioning or making an issue about it. But "some people" have to make an issue out of it.
It would be their little hang up.Their little idiosyncrasy and believes and thinking, imposed on others.
@happyharv1 - yup, you're blessed. Best Girlfriend ever. "those" who have a "problem" with it, should figure it out themselves. No need for "others" to be judgmental about "our" hangups.
@shanna1950: There is more to it than meets the eye.The toilet seat thing that SOME PEPOLE get hung up on and make an ongoing issue about is relative to someonelse constantly harping on about a personal issue that bothers ONLY THEM.
Most people dont get bent out of shape about the toilet seat. Nor do they need to point out how the tooth paste should be squeezed from the bottom or a pair of shoes that are not neatly stowed away or how a shirt is left on the bed or a pair of socks on the floor.
I loved how you demonstrated that there are real, underlying causes behind arguing +conflict & that BOTH sides must examine their inner fears+motivations, then also be WILLING to CHANGE how they communicate about issues. Looks like it takes time & energy to truly connect. Hopefully practice results in less conflict & more HARMONY in the relationships. Then it would feel worth the hard work. CAN YOU SHARE MORE VIDS? Even after therapy, I still struggle to understand how to hear my inner giraffe.
Thanks for posting this. It reminded me of how important it is to do the inner giraffe work before doing anything else. Both Kelly and Christine did this work and it completely changed the quality of connection. With that said I am now going to judge all three of you by giving you five stars just for the jackal of it :-)
this is profound... the real answer is the last part, when he says at 9:05:
"I feel so bad when I forget it... you take it that you are not loved...
...and then I tell myself I *should* do it...
...and I feel guilty, when I don't do it...
... and the more I don't wanna think about it, I forget....
... then also, I think that you are not going to love me if I don't do it...
... then I just wanna rebel against that !
... and I'm worried that it is my anger trying to protect my freedom!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
If women are too stupid to put the toilet seat down, then their opinions shouldn't be valued.
