There are criminals in any group of people, whether it be priests, teachers, doctors or politicians. The fact that the media focuses so much attention on Catholic priests doesn't mean that there aren't genuinely kind, honest priests who've never harmed anyone. Chase is an inspiration, even and perhaps especially for me a retired Catholic priest. I pray Chase may be a better priest than I have been. I have tried and love saying the Eucharitst and the Breviary...and still love speaking to all I meet whether in coffee shops or at our local Walmart, but you only get "one roll of the dice" as they say. Chase needs to use Soccer to spread the Gospel to youth. Priesthood needs to be reformed. Let's hope that Hilgenbrinck will undo the damage the extreme conservatives have done in the Catholic Church.

We have a young handsome priest. He is so perfect. I still don't know. why priest can't play soccer? Wow. You have to sacrifice a lot.

Well all I can say is, this man is looking for happiness that only God can grant them. I can Only pray that God will grant what he is looking for and if he ever becomes a priest, I pray he will be a holy one reflecting our high priest, Jesus and be strong amidst the temptation.

I once try too, but i only last for 3 months,...
no liquors, except of course for the wine... wake up as early as 5 in the morning, pray...pray....pray... review...review... hays it was a torture, but it was a lot of fun too...

People don't understand why a pro athlete, a lifestyle many Americans would love to have, would give it up to be a priest, a lifestyle many Americans would never be able to do.
My problem with this video is the implication that Chase was any good. As a Revs fan, I can tell you Chase was never a starter and was probably going to get cut in the offseason.

We saw him at our local parish vs. parishioners basketball game recently. My son immediately looked him up on the computor when he got home and found this video. Thank you Chase!!. To walk away from such a lucrative career is a powerful testimony to young men everywhere!! What you mean if he makes it after 8 yrs of studies he will be ordained in your diocese.

When I was asked to teach at an all Catholic School for girls - My students don't take me seriously I was 19 y.o. then
some even showed me their tatas and try to grab my u know wut lol
When I asked to be transfer to Grade 1, 2 or 3

@PdishmonkeyJJ That's not much of an argument. People do bad things without any reason whatsoever. Heck, in D.C. just the other day a grandmother threw her kid off of the roof of a building. We ask the question "why"? Sometimes there isn't an answer.
Plenty of people do things for the wrong reason: nazis, for the ubermensch; communists, for control and power and ultimately capitalism. Jesus died on a cross. It is the example all Christians must follow. To kill in his name is not justice.
