No matter what version I hear of this song, the original always strikes me as best. THIS particular version conjures images of a parade of fags in only thongs and feather boas prancing down the street.

This version is not butchering the song so much as it's taking something really emotional and pure, making it into something shallow and ugly.

I can say that, by the way, because I'm homo myself. The track is still "shallow and ugly".
