I was there at the front and remember seeing myself on tv when i got home as i had videoed the whole gig. What a great day!

Simple Minds were and still are brilliant, but never the same once the genius that is Mick mcNeil left!

I remember this day so well. I was 15 watching the concert at home - and the bbc went to the news just before this song came on!! aargh! I had to wait until the highlights show that Christmas before I could see it. Mel Gaynors drumming is brilliant. And I remember I had a thing for a girl dressed in black with a blonde bob on someone shoulders in the crowd. Happy days.

the analagy with u2 is plain embarrasing. these guys have the best bass player, best lead gutarist, drummer and vocalist . cant compare u2 to these guys . u2 just spun 1 sound out forever and thats why they are so boring. if u disagree just check out the you tube history of videos, then u will know what an amazing band this is....no competition at all.
