aveda products are not heavy and are perfect for any hair type so they will not weigh your hair down no matter how much you layer...also the purpose is not to wash your hair everyday (it's unhealthy) especially if you have fine, color/chemically treated hair.
Her hair IS fine, but she also has quite a lot of hair. My hair is less thick than hers, and would be flat within an hour:P Also, that is quite a lot of product/effort to use for an everyday look.
I have extremely fine, even thinning hair and the volumizing products that are recommended do NOT weigh the hair down. Most women with fine hair have been using bad products and are accustomed to them not performing as they should. Aveda products are amazing and absolutely deliver. As for the women complaining this takes too much time, you cannot acheive style without a little effort. Hair care isn't magic, it takes a little work and velco rollers are practically fool proof!
First of all Aveda is a huge cult organization. I ran an aveda concept salon some years back and it's like working with robots. The sales reps are assholes. You can add all the plant and flower crap you want to to a product and it does nothing for the hair. Hair is dead. Vitanins and plant extracts only help hair if you take them by mouth. Aveda uses loads of Perfume in their products. Oh, excuse me, I meant to say Pure-Fume. Aveda is old. There are better products out there. Just research.
The product she is using is very light , you wouldnt even feel it in your hair it will just make it feel and appear thicker , and with fine hair it actually dries quicker than thicker hair , it should only take 15 min tops !! thats with a good blowdryer
can there be an easy way to get volume without all these steps??? i have very fine straight hair and i dont wanna do these steps cuz one day schools gonna start again and i dont wanna wake up extra early just to do this ( i like to sleep )
@x3jUstCHilLiNx3 I use one of two things. The first, is Big Sexy Hair Root Pump mousse. Spray a little in at the roots on the crown of your head and blow dry with a round brush. I use a paddle brush and rough dry for a minute to get most of the moisture out, then switch to a round brush to get volume and control. The other product is Powder Play, same brand. It's a volumizing powder you sprinkle at the roots of your hair and rat it with your fingers then style as you wish. Great stuff!
that's way too much product for every day use if you ask me, I also think it looks too poofy for a natural look. May be good if you're going out, but i wouldn't wear this look to work or school.
Very nice but not practical for every day. #1 girls with fine hair cannot use that much product and #2 not all girls have time to do the roller step, which is really where the volume comes in
@doubtfuldreamer idk about that.. rollers take literally like 3 minutes.. well from my experience. i do agree with you in the too much product idea, but it just depends if the products are light enough to not weigh down the hair
@doubtfuldreamer Very true. I know I don't have that much time for my hair when I have to wake up at 4am every morning. Drying with a large round brush does the trick for me. I have never used Aveda products but my sister says they are not much better than most cheaper brands. I really love Aussie Insurance leave in conditioner. I have SUPER fine hair and I can't use much product or it will weigh by hair down. The Insurance is wonderful stuff and it smells awesome.
@doubtfuldreamer i have fine hair but a medium amount of it and i put this much product, with lots of volume still....maybe depends on oily scalp etc...
It's a great way to add some volume onto your hair, but man... it takes timeeeeeeeeeee.

Her hair is going to go flat after an hour or so, that is WAY too much product. The style even looks heavy. I hate most Aveda products anyway.

It isn't that much work and these products do work with fine hair... I use it every other day.

too much work, I would never be able to do it myself :(

Too much heat, too much and too many products, too much time and she is quite rough with her head when she is rough drying it.

she has a great hair color

that wouldnt work. fine hair literally is the best hair to have it's nice smooth and soft just lacking some volume and beautiful curls sadly.

i can't use anything with heat for more than 2 days a week. my hair gets too damaged even when using heat protectant.

@MissRoguey Yep I agree. I think her hair looked ok before, just maybe a little too straight. With a little styling it would have been fine.

Loll how does she keep smiling the whole time?
I mean, with the way her head is moving around, it kinda looks like she should be in pain...
But even though the process looks long and painful, the end result is rly nice ^^
