  • this hurricane was natures way of thinning the population.

my only regret is that more didnt die.

    GOD BLESS MOTHER EARTH

  • This was a horrible HORRIBLE storm. And New Orleans didnt even experience the worst part of it (worst part hit in gulfport ms). Really makes u think that things like this can happen even thought people choose not to think about it until it really happens

  • A Canadian here. Reading some of the posts here I just shake my head! This isn't a white black issue. If the US government can organize and move troops in to a country virtually in a mater of hours or overnighht why couldn't they do more to help out here. Like some of your posts state if sick, young, elderly, etc. do not have money, means,or transportation for that matter to get out of town what are they to do? Why didn't Bush help out by loading up busses, school busses, etc and help aid in evacuate

  • @TheGeorgecostanza why didnt the mayor of new orleans load buses? why didnt the governer of louisania load buses? you blame bush, but not the people who failed to react when warned by bush days before

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth My understanding is that many residents of New Orleans are poor and are on welfare. If the US government can move its army in to a country over night and spend big dollars doing so could it not have helped out financially here buy giving money to the residents to help them pay to transport them out in light of the hurricane warnings? As well you Americans are total fools believing 9/11 is not a conspiracy buy your government. After watching Loose Change Im convinced it was!

  • @TheGeorgecostanza they were too poor to walk? bullshit. if the government told me the storm was gonna kill me i dont care how i had to do it but i would leave that area

  • @babiekllr2347 The US government could have done a little bit more here my friend. Yes I am healthy,I would have gotten the hell out of there as warned. But what about the elderly, disabled, handicapped etc. I have heard from friends of mine residing in the US that New Orleans is strictly a 'Democrate" zone so Bush really didn't give a rat's ass for that part of the country.I re-iterate it is a miracle you guys can millitarly move countless troops overnight in to a foreign country but nothing here

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth yeah they were warned but how the hell are they to get out of there when the majority of the resdents there are collecting a welfare check? Sure you can go ahead and warn the residents but if they do not have financial means to get out what arethey to do? And yet Bush can develop a brilliabnt master plan to conspire against you US citzens(9/11 was a conspiracy Americans reading this, please open your eyes and see the truth, watch Loose Change dvd)to murder 3000 people in NY

  • @TheGeorgecostanza was the mayor, governer and other state officials all on welfare? why do you blame bush, but blame no other? if 9/11 was an inside job, how did bush get those proud, muslim men to committ the sin of bringing shame to islam? oh wait, islam was not ashamed of 9/11, they celebrated it and took all kinds of credit. oh,by the way, humpty dumpty was pushed !! but dont tell noone, its a secret, well , i can tell you, george w bush pushed him, dont tell noone , ok

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth don't comprehend what you are saying or trying to state theredude?! Was your mayor and government officials supposed to gather up millions of dollars amongst themselves to pay to help residents move out of the city. And no they are government officials,of course they cannot leave the city! They have to stay there to barricade themselves obviously they can't coward out and leave, get a clue dude! Where is the plane wreckage, black boxes, and all kind of other things regard 9/11

  • @TheGeorgecostanza evacuating a forseen disaster is not cowarding out. you just want to blame bush, you blame nobody else who was neglectful

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth Friend I am a Canadian residing in Vancouver(GO CANUCKS GO!) all I feel is that Bush could have supplied some much needed funds down there to help those residents that were not able to get out. That's all I feel. If Bush can spend billions to go in to Iraq and find no weapons of mass destruction then why couldn't he have helped out in some shape or form here financially?

  • @TheGeorgecostanza you are basing what you say on what you have heard, too bad what you heard is not accurate.

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth well then please feel free to "enlighten" me with the "truth". Are you referring to 9/11? Or how things went down in the Katrina hurricane?

  • @TheGeorgecostanza you are hearing the political correct filtered american media version of how people acted during this aftermath, they will not tell you about the peopl ebeaten , raped and murdered that the police and media brushed under the rug, murders have gone without investigation to keep the numbers low, and when bodies were being processed for autopsy, the people doing the autopsies were told to list murder victims as having died of natural causes to prevent bad publicity.

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth had heard of the attrocities taking place down there my friend but what does that have to do with the US government. Could monetary aid been made available to some of the less fortunate down there to help them leave town prior to Katrina hitting its shores?

  • @TheGeorgecostanza thats not how it works, but the govt got people to surrounding cities and gave them debit cards with 2000$ on the cards, guess what the cards were used for? clue, not clothes, food and housing, the cards were used for trips to the strip club, the cards were used for alcohol, one women used hte card to purchace a 2000$handbag. so giving out a bunch of money to people who alreadty get everything given to them does not work, the local govt could have used the 100s of buses parked

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth Lol! That doesn't surprise me at all. People got a free party while there homes got flooded, looted,or destroyed! Kind of like a marriage between a man and woman. It starts off with one great blow and when it's over the house and car are gone!!! Lol!

  • @TheGeorgecostanza not very funny, many people were attacked, robbed, raped, and murdered. that hasnt been happening with the recent storms sweeping the nation.

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth maybe the folks in Neworleans need to take a good look at whattranspired in Japan. No looting, robberies, people lining up and orderly. Unlike the mongoloids of New Orleans!

  • @TheGeorgecostanza agree 100%

  • @whitemanwaydownsouth Well is Bush not an elected government official there bro? Could he have not sent some federal aid down there prior to this disaster occurring to help move people who couldn't get out of there, out of there?

  • It's sad that people are on here making racist remarks. These are human beings that experienced a terrible tragedy. Have some compassion! Some folks didn't leave their homes because they didn't have vehicles or monetary means. The government should have done more for the people!!!!! It's a shame that this happened in "The United States" Those people were even called refugees! They are American Citizens!

  • Katrina couldn't kill NOLA.

  • i feel safer after Hurricane Katrina coz i know that im less likely to get robbed if i go there coz there are less niggers!!!!

  • Hurricane Katrina was that bad stop moaning. i was happy coz it wiped out loads of the niggers =) Happy Times!!!!

  • @fuzzyhellberg Your moma

  • @fuzzyhellberg You're an ignorant bastard. Go fuck yourself

  • @fuzzyhellberg DICK!!

  • i lost my cousin in this........but he was an asshole soo im kinda glad it happened :)

  • jack your a ass

  • What "Human being" would get on here and watch this video and leave hateful comments ? I dont understand people sometimes, at what point is seeing some one dead humorous ? Then for people like babiekllr2347 to use racial slurs to point black people, thats ridiculous im asuming that while watching this video babiekllr2347 must not have seen the amount of dead white people. Race is not a matter. the matter is and has always been and always will be the people that took the hit from katrina.

  • why do ppl post more that three sentences? No one reads that shit.

  • @Omegax9000: Obviously, we do.

  • @mariewilder i c wat u did dur!

  • Who ever did this vidoe did a great job! Amazing! I lived through this horrible storm. I pray for the for the one's that did not make it......It hurts me to see some of the rude unnessassary comments..We did not ask for this..Some people could not leave, due to either illiness, elderly, or just could not make it out.....GOD Bless New Oreans and the victims!

  • the only sad part about katrina was they the dumb niggers thought bush was bullshittin

  • @babiekllr2347: I know that you need attention. Sitting behind your computer; lonely and without love in your life. It's okay...you will be alright with the rest of your friends who will burn in .......bleep!!@@!!

  • @mariewilder too scared to say hell? shut the fuck up jesus freak. i bet that blew your mind. so you agree that just because they were too damn stupid to leave they should mooch off the government? people like you are the reason we are in the recession we are in now

  • @babiekllr2347: Let's see..my comment was made....ONE YEAR AGO....and you are just now responding. Someone missed the yellow bus today. Ignorance like yours is why we are in a recession.....hurry up...run...I hear the bus honking for you. Don't bother to respond....I won't respond back.

  • haha you got packed by water. heres my survival strategy get out

  • @babiekllr2347 your name speaks for itself.

  • @babiekllr2347 You're a stupid asshole.

  • @marlley08 and your a whore bitch

  • @babiekllr2347 Why dont you learn proper ENGLISH, you stupid fuck? Its you're not your. LOL. Loser.

  • May God have mercy on the souls of these poor people. I lived in NOLA off and on for years, and consider it my second home. We got plenty of storm damage in coastal AL. but Waveland, MS and surrounding areas, and NOLA of course, got the brunt of it. Lord, please spare us any more death and destruction down here.

  • Amazing I can not watch a fucking youtube video without getting an advertisement for plentyoffish. WTF is wrong with these people give it a rest. This video is about the dead from katrina not the fucking assclowns on that website.

  • omg these ppl were let down by the great U.S.A. its crazy.since i watched the documentary trouble the waters by Kimberly Rivers i cant get this out of my mind.i can remember when katrina victims were coming into our state i never knew it was this bad.we all take shit for granite live in our lil perfect world but this could have happened to anyone of us.God Bless LOUISIANA and i pray that they will not have to go through something of this nature again.

  • sodom and gomorrah. go figure

  • sodom and gomorrah....go figure...

  • i think this is gobal warning we watch movie like day after tomarrow and other stuff

  • still get chills seeing this kind of stuff, ive lived in and around new orleans my whole life, didnt live in new orleans when katrina hit, but we still got it pretty bad. and for people that are saying "oh they told them to leave" umm sorry but we didnt know that the hurricane was coming our way until two days before it was supposed to make land fall, and some people cant just get up and leavee

  • 100 years ago there was no advanced warning....but when i can watch a hurricane blow through the keys and the intensify while still sitting out in the gulf....then watch the projected path...how many days did ya need to get to safety?

  • @itzamia they didn't project the path to hit New Orleans till the Friday before the hurricane hit overnight on Sunday. Many people take months to plan a trip for an extended period of time, not everyone can do that nor does everyone have the resources to be able to sustain life in another part of the country for weeks or months at a time. This was a disaster of tremendous proportions that I do not expect any outsiders to have the ability to comprehend.

  • @joezeppi i lived in charleston during hugo and we evacuated within the time given....but true some people dont have the resources to leave but heading towards some kind of sheltor like the superdome would have been the next best thing...the stadium had a lot of people in it but could've held much more.

  • @itzamia unfortunately you're wrong again and again, it's not your fault you just don't have all of the facts. There were 20,000 people at the superdome which was well over the capacity of what they were able to handle. Sure the stadium seats 74,000 but they would never hold that many people in there without running water and food. The shelter wasn't the answer, the answer is self independence and having the ability to get out when a large storm heads your way. Many people simply couldn't.

  • OMG this is so so sad. Rip to the victims.

  • *sigh*

They tell people "Leave there's a fucking hurricane coming!!!"

I can remember being 10 years old watching a documentary about how the levees were not going to hold up against a major hurricane. I had seen/heard the same thing over and over for years since. So, people were warned for years, and then the week(s) prior to the storm to GET OUT. They stayed.....and now we have an endless source of sad pictures and stories. Be back soon, im gonna go move my family to the bottom of a volcano...

  • How many times does it need to be said? NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO GO ON VACATION (EVACUATE) AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE, SOME WILL INEVITABLY BE LEFT BEHIND.

In a city as poor as New Orleans that number was very high. If you do not understand this by now, then perhaps you have a disability when it comes to comprehension and processing information.

  • @joezeppi I totally agree and understand unlike some people whom post ignorant remarks like "Oh, they were told to leave". Well if you are poor as were most of the people who became victims of this large natural disaster what would you do? Twinkle your nose and have plane tickets miraculously appear in your hands? Gosh some peolpe are such dumasses!

  • @joezeppi

The problem is they hjave two many black people down there. They just are not as smart to deal with these things. Look out haiti. Africa is not a shit whole for nothing.

  • @joezeppi they have legs don't they?

  • Please do

  • @SlyHobbit WEEKS prior to the storm people were told to get out? Where do you get your information from? The back of a lucky charms cereal box?

  • @SlyHobbit HA!!! An evac WEEKS prior to a storm?! Now THAT is funny!!

Dude, Katrina wasn't anything more than a low pressure until A WEEK before landfall, the 23rd of Aug, when she first developed into Trop. Dep. 12 in the Bahamas. She wasn't even moving in the general direction of the Gulf yet. Not even Nash Roberts could've guessed with >1% confidence IF or where it would hit land. There'd be more chance of someone calling for/listening to a hurricane Evac then, in the hurricane off-season!

  • I lost 13 relatives in it.........I am still depressed....I lost everything and Im 17.

  • but your profile says you're 28 and in the coast guard.

  • I think this video was made very well. I hadn't seen the extent of the damage & this really drove it home. It gave me chills. May we never forget the poor souls who were lost in the tragedy.

  • If the British manged to save their entire army and a third of the French one. By using "Mostly Small Pleasure Craft" at Dunkirk, organized in only 24 Hours. With Hitler's entire military trying their damndest to wipe "em out................Then the question is why the hell wasn't the Lousiana and Mississippi State Authorities, U.S. Federal Authorities, and U.S. Military not able to do the same for all the people who died in the "Aftermath of Katrina"?????

  • @narutofightindreamer because there is no question what will happen when an invading army approaches. Hurricanes are fickle events which die down, change direction, and are not easy to predict. This lack of consistency leads many to believe they can weather the storm. Especially when the government tells everyone to evacuate the city then the storm ends up turning or fizzling out. People spend their money evacuating and being stuck in traffic only to vow they'll stay the next time.

  • Just so the smart ass who said yay niggers are dead. It was more then that u inconsiderate bastard.....U live through something ike that then open your mouth...

  • HELP HAITI

  • i was in that hurricane......i lived in New orleans and i sould of leafed but i didnt :[

  • the guys w/ guns thats what I would be doing shooting all the house looters

  • One of the worst events.

  • If it had been New York that had been struck I think it's likely that there would have been a rapid and large response by the government,

  • when your told to leave maybe you'll leave

  • JACK 9598.....NOT EVERY HAD THE "MEANS" TO LEAVE THE CITY... If there were buses some were too sick to travel or didn't want to leave others behind. No one knew that it would be "that bad". So shut the hell up!

  • what if you don't have no where to go, or no money or disable?/

  • @jack9598 so maybe when your 80 something year old grandma who's in a wheelchair on and social security is told to leave she can just pack up her suitcase and drive herself on out of town and wait in hours of traffic on the interstate.

  • @jack9598: After seeing a video like this it's hard to understand the cruelty and evilness of a comment like yours. What a sad person you are.

  • I was there, but was in Biloxi, even though it hardly gets recognized as "being hit", it was affected more than New Orleans. Right now we have to deal with tropical storm Ima.

  • Yes, Biloxi was hit hard, but it doesn't compare to what happened here in new orleans....hundreds of people died here only a few did in Biloxi. More of Louisiana was flooded and affected by Katrina not Biloxi that's why it got little, to no attention. By the way, It's tropical storm Ida.

  • over a thousand died in New Orleans due to the faulty levee breaches. New Orleans' disaster was caused by the strength of the storm destroying man made levees that shouldn't have broken. Biloxi will always be unprotected since you're on a beach. Moreover, the population of Biloxi is considerably less than New Orleans. This isn't a contest to see who suffered worse. Both areas were devastated. New Orleans had a greater population.

  • My heart goes out to the individuals that had to go through such a tragedy.

  • GOD BLESS NEW ORLEANS man this is so sad to watch, I still can't believe it even though I know its true

  • catastrophic, terrible

  • whoever faggots are saying rude things about the victoms stop ok?! because i am a victom and its hard having your older brother killed and father killed right berfore your eyes. ok! i am almost 12 i think about this every year and it kills me to know that i wasnt close to my brother or father. my father was always on buisness trips and missing every major event in my life and i was at the age of were my brother was just a little jerk to me. i would kill to see them again just once!

  • i am two

  • @ssgosen4 im sorry to hear that god bless u

  • @ssgosen4 sorry about your father and brother never loose hope

  • @ssgosen4 your mothers a whore

  • @Notasheep187 That is a CHILD you are talking to, you troll. Do us all a favor and go play in traffic and die! Okay? By the way... consider yourself reported.

  • Now if you live in New Orleans and you know another hurricane COULD happen again, would you consider moving? Or would you stay there waiting for the next one?

  • it's not could it's WHEN..... moving away from my home, family and friends, it's hard to think about. but yes we've considered it. but with the economy the way it is who can afford it?

  • before anyone criticizes people of nola, consider this: what about california? or oklahoma? florida? anyone on any river's floodplain? hundreds of millions of other people also knowingly live in disaster zones around this country, and one day they too will also have hell to pay we can rebuild smarter sure, but don't criticize them when the rest of us are no better in terms of where we live. one generation ignorantly or arrogantly builds in danger, and another generation pays the price way it is

  • It's amazing to see that happen in the U.S.

  • you know what go to hell! i am a katrina victom its not fucking amazing its scary and watching your friends and family drowned or die of disease its not amazing you can say that but when it happens to you you'll take that back

  • I meant amazing in a BAD way, jesus christ man. It's hard to believe how far we've come in our country, and this still happens. I didn't dissrespect you, or anyone else. Jerk.

  • still hurts my heart to see this...god bless my city

  • that was not directed too you joezeppi, it was intended for "NHL09er" scroll down, he had alot too say, about a video he didnt even put up! " this bitch fool said " u just wanna see dead people" no i wanna see what the hell happened i wasnt there.... so sorry joez

  • i agree with datcuddy95, slow the pics down a bit man. but very nice video, pretty sad, i live in Canada and ive NEVER seen ANYTHING like that before =(

  • Thank you topbackwhatitdo. Goes to show you can provide constructive criticism without being overtly rude and obnoxious.

The reason I did flash them by so fast was because at the time I did this video I didn't want to flaunt or over do the dead people pics. I wanted to provide impact but not exploit their deaths.

  • Yea, I know what you mean. It's all good man, good vid either wayy.

  • speak for urself dumbass i just wanted too see the clip, i cant see pic. on a fuckin screen that fast. BITCH

  • Seriously what's your problem? Did your parents not love you as a child?

  • sad

  • the shit giveing me shirvers

  • why the fuck put picture's up if your gonna scroll them so fast dumb ass

  • go to fucking hell buddy you just came here looking for gore pics and dead people and then get pissed when you dont get it. go get help while your still young

  • ew dead looks nasty 0_o

  • wen i say all those corpses @ once my heart stopped....a real life horror movie

  • I think you would feel differently if it was your family members or friends that died during a disaster situation because of pure greed and lack of compassion.

  • People that we trusted to take care of us in a crises were not there to help us. More often than not they were stealing from people that pay their salaries. Why should someone leave the US because they speak the truth? I had friends die because of the negligence that happened during that hurricane. What's right is right and wrong is wrong. Why should people that went through so much have to listen to someone tell them to leave the US. Its a shame.

  • I am from Bay St Louis and was living there during Katrina. I can honestly say that things were not handled well. They are still not handling the situation well. Its just a bunch of BS. During the last bad Hurricane the people were not getting the help they needed either.

  • what song is that playing in the background. the pictures alone are powerful but the music brings it to life

  • it's by Mars Volta

  • america's politcal agenda, or at least awaken more peoples political consciousness, am I wrong?

  • This was one of the largest cotastrophe's to happen to america since its birth in my opinion, FEMA's inability to react efficiently was PATHETIC. It makes me sick to my stomach when I think about how much suffering could have been prevented had our former "imbecile" administration had the minute ability to see passed their metaphorical blindfold of greed, deception and power. Its strange how much people will put with, it seems like something as significant as this would have a larger impact on

  • Powerful, but yet still disheartening video. My heart and prayers are still go out to the gulf coast region; may you all continue to rebuild.

  • this is what happens when you have a president who is racist!

new orleans is majority black and haitian! it has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country! one of the poorest cities!

ppl were arrested for stealing food down there during this hurricane and shot down for taking food by the military if they were black! but if they were white they were looking for food no offense to the white ppl!

bush wasnt worried about black he was worried about the tsunami in south east asia at the time

  • For a guy that's so racist it's amazi[ng that he came out and took responsibility for it. We were in the middle of an unpopular, expensive war, sending aid to the tsunami victims, and then this thing hit New Orleans. Aid wasn't going to come extremely quickly, if anybody, blame the police commissioner and the governor for confiscating the guns of lawful gun owners in the area, guns were the only thing keeping those poor people alive, defended from the gangs of rapists and looters.

  • you dumb clucks......right,it was bushes fault...lol..this was part of Gods judgementon a city full of violence, murder, sodomites, catholicsm worship etc....bush is just a peon human..get ready katrina was nothing compared to whats coming to doomed, damned and cursed america

  • Fuck you motherfucker! I am sure that you are a part of Westboro Baptist Church aren't you! That sounds just like what one of those disillusioned morons would say! I know you idiots crave media attention because that is the only way that you can function. You have a pathetic existance! Why don't you just shut up and leave everyone alone and let us fend for ourselves! You are screwing up your kids lives by teaching them to hate! Children should know LOVE! NOT HATE! Fuck off psycho!

  • The only solution for people like you are not bibles, books, education, or reasoning. Seven Six Two Mother Fucker. If you don't like the greatest country on earth then get out! But of course you would never leave this country, you love its freedom and free enterprise system too much. Go to whatever socialist, communist country that will take you. Enjoy the freedoms provided to you by the same people you curse and hate.

  • Fuckin B ush Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where was George W. Bush this entire time? AWOL!!!!!!!!! Hey if this had happened in Crawford Texas, you can bet your ass he would have shown up to do something about that.

  • Not to take away from the devastating results of this and the sadness Katrina caused and is still causing, but for years the people of New Orleans, white and black knew the city was built in a "fish bowl". Blame who you want, "Mother Nature" is not prejudice. Local and State officials failed, pre-storm and post-storm. God Bless the victims and their families.

  • "I was in a coffee shop in Houston on the day after the storm. I beat the living shit out of a man that said "It was good that happened to them!"

  • You are what is wrong with the people of New Orleans.

I sold my home and moved away from the violence of Louisiana.

I worked in a store and everyday someone blamed me for the flooding and the deaths due to Katrina.

Katrina survivors have brought death, hatred and dope everywhere they evacuated to.

The people are tired of Katrina and hearing of New Orleans.

If you don't like your fellow american don't cash the welfare and food stamps.

    God made Katrina remember that.

  • This was a terrible disaster and I think that the government should have done ALOT more to help rebuild and save people. Part of the problem is that so many people stayed and didn't evacuate like they were told. I saw on the news tons of people that said "I aint going nowhere we will be fine" after the storm they were dead.

  • alot of the ppl there didnt have money to leave i mean that is one of the poorest cities in america

  • dat vid put tears in my eyes my aunt did not make it she lived in west new orleans

  • omg that is so sad i cant belive that a hurricane can be that strong?

  • I can destroy these monsters...

and want to make my discovering in practice...

  • FEMA did a terrible job responding, if this had happened in a rich white neighborhood you better believe not a single person would spend more than a day waiting for help

  • There were a lot of people waiting for help in the "rich white neighborhood" of lakeview. The thing is they were saved by their neighbors.

  • this is so sad considering my name is katrina and i felt bad somewhat responsible i think i was in 3rd or fourth grade i would cry in school now in 6th grade people still tease me and i just say do you really know what your talking about and they step offf i still feel bad

  • im not judging anybody involved in the rescue efforts, but there are accounts of some people not going into certain neighborhoods to rescue because they were afraid. Im sure i would have been too, but you can condemn someone who felt like they were being discriminated against in the midst of a tragedy and was still in a fight for their life. just think if it was you and people kept passing you by and you knew they could save you, and they didnt. that 2nd or 3rd boat passin by might be in trouble

  • wow

  • it's even more sad that some of those savages that lived there were shooting at the ppl trying to help them, what's wrong with ppl?

  • troym33: no savage or any other stupid name you can think of to call people would shoot at someone trying to help them.some people shot at rescuers as boats passed them by. they were waiting to be saved, and were being passed up because of how they looked.not all, but some of the rescuers seemed to be picking and choosing who they saved. youd shoot too if you were in shit water for 3 days without food.

  • In such a chaotic time of crisis I can blame neither party. The people who were on the boat were trying to help people but they had to be a judge of who they could trust because no one was coming to help you if whoever you picked up turned hostile on you.

  • truly hell on earth. God bless their souls.

  • whats the name of this song? its a fuckin beast!

  • Cygnus Vismond by Mars Volta

  • hey guys i feel sorry for them i live in marrero i evacuated that is sad..

  • I grew up in Marrero, off of Barataria.

  • there should be a movie about Hurricane Katrina..its an intriguing story an I lived it.

  • Spike Lee made one -- a documentary.

    When The Levees Broke.

  • I think they were talking about there should be a full length motion picture about it, and there should be. There will probably be several movies made from it similar to the 9/11 movies, focusing on various different experiences and aspects of the disaster.

  • I went through katrina in Biloxi....I feel ya.. Sad...but it is all true. Great job showing the world. Peace.

  • its almost 3 yrs... and i guess we forget how bad it really was... this is on of the best vids i've seen. its hard to believe how heartless people can be... but what dosen't kill us... makes us stronger! we've rebuilt our city... i love nola!

    Katrina victim... God bless.

  • I hate that the govt. m the pussy ass cops , and humanity in general failed this great city of new orleans . Masses of mostly poor black and brown folks in distress are of no concern to many white bred americans . They claim 911 was the worst , yet they only lost two buildings , we lost 88 percent of the city . bitch ass rednecks

  • ok, what about the so-called "bitch-ass rednecks who were flying food, water, and supplies down there? what about them? oh yeah, that's right. some people forget about that when they start on their rants about the government, the police, the National Guard, etc. let's just blame "whitey" for EVERYTHING. don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole damn bunch. Besides, NOLA's "I want a chocolate city" Mayor wasn't exactly innocent. He dropped the ball as well. And he WASN'T white.

  • why do the bodies look bloated?

  • after somebody dies, gasses and fluids just build up in the body. thats why they look bloated

  • I'm sure it doesn't help too that they were sitting in water.

  • You know what's so sad is 2 weeks ago they found human remains in the rummble of yet another house being demolished. I suppose we will never know who are how many died in Katrina. How horrible it must have been to die alone in an attic with no one there to save you, or even hear your cries.
