  • why are you only running a v1 map? like do you expect to beat a fucking m3 with just 1.5psi more from those turbos?! run a fuckin jb4 turn up the booooost

  • I went from a 335i Coupe to an M3 Coupe. My 335i was modded in every possible way.....mad money spent (possibly wasted)....and to this day I maintain that my 335i can in no way compare to my M3.

  • Well, all bull shiet aside, I have a 335is and I eat M3 for lunch.

  • @lobo25usn my dad has m3 e46 and i know a 335is wont beat it

  • @stiflernasser yea thats my man GTr any day

  • ill take the 335is over an M3

  • dinan stage 2 kit and this 335 will smoke the m3 even a dam 911

  • GTR ANYDAY

  • in my opinion the 335 is a poor mans m3, you could chip it to at least a stage 2 and after all the hassle ur lookin at about 12k for a car that still wont fully match an m3 in the handling and reliability stakes, and thats including the aero kit and upgraded suspension.......just get a fuckin m3 with the whole warranty and factory reliability thing.

  • the 335 was still right there.with bigger injectors,remap and a little more boost.Then...

  • just get the GTR that'll keep this over priced car HONEST hahaha

  • M power

  • M3 WIN

  • When they say equal they mean the first 10 seconds of racing...they floor it at 0:26 but by 0:36 they are still practically level. It's the next 10 secs up to 0:46 that the M3 pulls away by about 3 car lengths.

  • God that vishnu chip is such garbage! I am running JB4 Map 7 I shit on E92 M3s with my E90 335i N55. My family has an E93 M3 and yes its 400lbs heavier than the E92 M3 coupe but still I walk on all of them! What shit !

  • @JiggaJewJones sure you do buddy haha 335 are for people who can't afford mpower the people who you race probaly can't drive haha

  • @mlutzy thats the most retarded comment i've read. People buy 335 for all dif reasons, my 335 cost $60 thats the starting price for the m3 in case u dont know and the 335iS goes up to $70 check yourself yea

  • @tatrrapak if you're going to spend 70K... might as well get the M3. The saying goes, if you own a 3 series... you will always look up to the M3. When you own an M3, you will never look back.

  • @JiggaJewJones You must be on crack... what if I modify my M3??!! then what? wanna race? It'll shit all over your little toy. Plz don't compare an M to an other 3 series ever again!

  • Lies not equal...

  • M3 has better gear ratios, better axles differential and better suspension. It is for a reason M3. Once you drive it you feel that it is made for racing. The 335 on the other hand is just a fast cruiser for reach people.

  • ummm how is getting beat three car lenghts egual. wow

  • it's very very ''equal there'' LOL!! reviewing FAIL...!

  • I think the guy were joking about being equal, you guys are taking it way to serious

  • GUYS! maybe he meant equal from the start? You can see they are on the same paralell line..

Guess what, if there was a shootout between both cars the only way for the M3 to escape would be on the highway with no cars on.. YES The 335i is a little slower but the M3 has better technical parts overall that truly makes it a SPORT car.

  • no need even to compare.... the M3 is the "sport version" of the 3 series... so... its gonna be better...

  • m3 of course.

  • BTW i own an 07 335i and just getting my JB3 with intakes, but i still prefer the M3 over my 335i ^^

  • that 1 did i would say that tune made it slower :P

  • lol ok for all you idiots out there, there is juice box and they have 3 stages; 1- JB1 keeps up or almost identical from 0-150 mph as the v8 M3; 2- JB2 beats the m3 not by a lot but something like the M3 did in this race to that 335i; 3- JB3 will beat the M3 so badly that is not even fun to see it ^^(like a honda accord V6 agains a honda civic). another thing i fail to mention that is how stock to stock car race will look like 335i vs v8 M3, shit i have seen stock 335i keep up a lot better than

  • haha equal..

  • @djlastrina

it has less power when stock, if you read the title to the video you would see "VISHNU V1" which means at the minimum it has a software tune that puts the car at approx. 370-390HP with no other modifications

  • maybe at the start equal...335 has low end torque for everyday use in the other hand...The M3 has high end power...so after 60+ the M3 will always win....is a racing track minded car is a N/A and revs A LOT!

  • i wanna see a comparison of the m3 and the 335is, they're more closer

  • Learn to understand what the person is saying you fuck tards "it was very very equal there" "I thought you had him in the beginning there"

Do you see at the start of the race where they are... equal... WHAT OMG NO WAY....

    Fucking stupid trolls

  • Equal my arse Vlad - Need a V2/V3 to chase it down

  • gotta give the little 335 props for keeping up in the begining, i know it'd kill my 530.

  • I can't wait until I get my M3

  • i have a 96 bmw z3 with the soft top... the back plastic window on my softop has gottten really cloudy and unusable ... how should i clean it?

  • @jayman81424 Just run by a BMW dealer, they should be glad to help. I can suggest some stuff, but I'm sure they'll know what's best!

  • @jayman81424 i really dont think you can, i think you need to replace it and that costs a lot.

  • put a 1000$ mod on the m3 :(

  • where's the turbo kicking in for 335i? well, if I was to choose from a modded 335i and a m3, I'd take the M3. just because it's top line for 3 series and it's all motor. I can't believe BMW has turbos now. I'd prefer if BMW modded the i6 from the e46 m3 and put it in the 335i, I'd say it would have a way more potential and it's higher compression. I like high compression. haha.

  • camina el 335 cojone

  • assrape!! M//POWER FOREVER!!!!!

  • at high speeds bmw sound like jets its mental

  • NO WAY EQUAL MAN, WHAT ARE THESE GUYS ON CRACK, THE M3 HAD AT LEAST 3 CARS ON HIM

  • @oskarkarrera

    3??? more like 6!!!

  • to bad there so damn expensive n also expenvie to maintain

  • @oskarkarrera ..For a moment, 0:25 - 0:35

  • @oskarkarrera he means that it was a shockingly close race, chill out man

  • @oskarkarrera thats because he didn't perfect shift.

  • What has been done to this 335i? Which mods are installed?

  • E46 M3 =22,000

Stage 1 HPF Turbo w warranty on engine=13,000

    total= $35,000 = 630 whp = better handling and top speed than 335i

Retards think the 335i stock has more hp...no the m3 e46 has 333hp stock w/o exhaust or intake

  • @joshluvsdani the 335i is under rated so is the E46 M3... all BMW's are underrated for insurance purposes... you think a BMW claiming to have 300hp/300ft/lbs and dynos at 380-390hp/380-390ft/lbs is oly making 300hp? really kid? REALLY KID? Sorry but the 335i is making close to 330-345. My 370z dynoed at 385 on a Dynodanimcs and 387 on a Dynojet. That is about right for the drive train loss.. but the 335i's do not make sense therfore are under rated and IT IS NOT A SECRET EITHER

  • @psmTARDCORE a stock 335 will never dyno 380-390 hp. is your 370z force induction or nitrous? or did you mean 287 hp?

  • @koolaidaudi I saw it in person... I meant 285 and 287. Stupid Env Touch. Anyway, if Steve Dinan admits that the E92 335i's are putting out nearly 14% of their factory rating than I don't know what else to say. Some fan boys just can't get passed it. The messed up thing is everyone thinks that all these cars that are trapping under 110mph are fast. They aren't and will never be unless you compare them to the ford fiesta. Youtube vs Real life, some people can't tell the difference.

  • @joshluvsdani 343 not 333

  • I hate chipped 335's If theyre so cool, why arent they fast from the factory like the M3??

  • @tcaballo look at the price difference you fucking dumb ass. not even going to bother reading a response from an idiot piece of shit like you

  • @iamElijah <---- Works at Walmart and drives a prius hybrid with a fart can on it.

  • @tcaballo cause they cost alot less and arent //m's its a 3 series bmw...you cant compare a e46 330ci to an e46 m3 or a 550 to an m5...they are purposly built differently...they are cheaper and there for less equipped...ppl get bang for their buck therefore if they cant afford an m3 they get a 335 or 335is to have something similar but cheaper...like if they cost the same then you can say well wtf why get a 335 but they dont...not even close

  • @tcaballo cause there not 80,000 dollars

  • I'm not too sure the motor would blow up at 8400 rpm, maybe if it were poorly tuned or the boost was too high. But ess tuning has a supercharger available that makes 600hp safely on the engine, I'm not sure of the boost level but it's less than 1 bar, so around 8 psi I think. The motor won't be a problem, it's the tune 9 times out of 10 that ruin motors.

  • @500whpSTI It's just that M3's are very highly strung engines at the best of times due to having such high compression ratios. By adding on turbos, you're effectively increasing that ratio even higher. I'm not sure I'd want to find out to be honest after paying all that dough for one!

  • @peaps very good point, another major thing to factor in is the grade of fuel. If your running a turbo'd M3 on crappy california 91oct tuning will be a nightmare without methanol or race gas which is way too expensive for daily driving. Plus the spirit of M cars is naturally aspirated free revving engines. Id go n/a all the way with that car.

  • whats better? vishnu or jb3?

  • @apocolypse1022 your a fool for coming up with some bullshit Dinan lie. Your friend never did that now STFU... Dinan > 600hp viper LMFAO U FUCKIN DICKBAG DINAN IS SHIT.

  • old 2006 software on the 335i. check out the videos of the 335i's pulling on the m3's in more recent videos with JB3 1.4/2.0 or procede v3/v4 much big difference. dont understand why this guy had version 1 of the software in 2009, guess he was too lazy to update

  • damn people that can afford these cars are so lucky, I only drove a g35 and i thought it was pretty fast i cant imagine driving these cars.

  • Very, very equal? LOL, that guy must be smoking crack if he thinks that was equal. Looked to me like the M3 pulled away steadily.

  • pretty good for the 335i. obviously the 400 hp would pull away in end.

  • What power is the 335i running?

  • Engine mods, ok yeah !!!.....But suspension, drive train, Aerodynamics etc, its the entire synergy that matters. The reason why the heavier & underpowered Panamera could beat the CTS-V

  • now drop twin turbos on the m3

  • @4BangerNA10Sec hahah did you just say put twin turbos on the m3?!!? do you even know what type of engine is in that car? hahah and please explain how you would put twin turbos on the m3?

  • @robsidhu54 yeah teddy its a v8 drop some rear mounted turbos on it your golden i would never get that 335i did you see the comp against the g37 the 335i took a sh$t after like 5 laps on the track fyi the 4 door m3 and 335i look way better then the two door

  • @4BangerNA10Sec It would blow up at 8400 rpm.

  • "It's very, very equal there." Now we know he failed math class.

  • I thought you had him in the beggining....

You never had him you never had your car!!!LMAOF

  • I gotta worry about how long that engine will hold up though if its chipped way above its normal performace and the gas mileage has to be horrible.

  • equal to like 60

  • Dinan chip will beat that M3 no problem....friend did it in his....just chip, super sport exhaust, and intercooler...smoked the M3, M5, M6, even a Viper...500+ Hp, 600+ torque.

  • That was pretty impressive, that Vishnu 335 kept up with the M3 until the tail end of the race. It was practically dead even for awhile.

  • equal my ass

  • @hamadM3

yea not equal in this video with the old software, if you knew anything about 335's you would know they new software makes them much faster

  • @hamadM3 ..For a moment, 0:25 - 0:35

  • Ummm anybody else notice it's a 4 DOOR 335i anyway???

  • Can anyone tell me which is a better tuner, Vishnu V3 or JB3? I've heard more about the JB3. I'm just seeing the Vishnu on Youtube... but it's always seen losing. Any opinions? Thanks.

  • jb3 is better and cheaper

  • Thanks, that's what I'm going to get then.

  • does anyone know where you can get vishnu chips fitted in Europe?

  • Interesuje mnie , jakie byly by osiagi BMW M3 z BiTurbo kotre posiada model 335i .

  • what was the speed of both cars?

  • i do like the 335 i alot. But as an owner of one i would never compare it to the M3 and certainly would never try to race one on the track. The 335i is def not a poor mans M3. I bought the 335i because it was suitable for all my family needs.

  • And it was cheaper :P

  • if ur gay!

  • Eventhough the 335i is modified it still can't beat the M3? That's lame. What would happen if the M3 was twin turbo'd...ahh I guess it would vanish into the horizon.

  • ya a chip tune for a 335i costs like 600-1000 dollars where for a twin turbo kit for a M3 would probably run you from 10 - 20,000 dollars

a m3 also costs at least 20,000 more than a 335i so i would be smarter financially to get a 335i instead of a M3 right?

  • So what your saying is a 335i is a poor man's M3? People buy an M3 for the performance (on/off the track) and prestige that comes with it. I don't understand the concept of modifying ones car to out perform a top tier car. Even if the 335I had more horse power, how would it do on the track? BMW engineered structured performace levels with corresponding prices for a reason. I am not hating the 335I, in fact I think they are great for the money. But you have to know your place...

  • ya but what you are saying is "imagine a twin turbo m3" that would cost WAYYYY TOO much and if i was going with not in care of a price why not just get a M5 or M6 which has more prestige then all and better performance overall and rip everyone's ass off.

  • I never implied that I would twin turbo charge the M3, it's good the way it is...it was a mere comparison of the two cars abilities and my point is a modified 335I still couldn't beat an M3, there is a reason for that.

As for the asian owner saying, "I need an upgrade", lol why not just buy an M3. There is no way he would beat an M3 on the track with a 335I Vishnu and what ever else he does with it.

  • well heres the thing though, Dinan made a stage 3 for the 335i and there is video proof of it smoking the m3. around a track and on a straight line.

  • Everyone on this planet knows that a modified car can beat a stock one, but isn't kind of sad to take the car to stage 3 before it can beat a stock M car.

Hyperthetically speaking take this stage 3 335I and a stock M3. Race them for 1000 miles on a NAS car track...which one would break down? Well we all know the answer to that, modified rides do not have the longevity or endurance of a stock ride. Even if it does complete the race, it's life is short live.

  • Technically your wrong. Aftermarket cars do last depending on how it is built..Many of my friends have chipped tuned their 335i's and many other cars such as a supercharger kit on their Mustangs and not one has given a problem. My friend has a JB3 stage 3 chip tune on his 2007 335i and he has put 32,000 miles on it no problem. Took it to track and it didnt even overheat and he was racing a stock 335i 6 spd manual and that ended up overheating due to the poor cooling systems on the stock 335i

  • I am talking about the life of the car, 32,000 miles is nothing, barely even broken in for a BMW. Let me put it to you this way, I am an original owner of an 03 e46 M3 and I do lots of driving because of my sales job. Let just say it has 205K on the original engine and at times it gets opened up. Do you really think a modified car can go over 200K? People who modify their rides constantly race and drive it at their limit...hence an early life span. This is not a myth...only facts.

  • I am a E60 BMW 530i owner as you can see on my page and I have had BMW's all my life. Not one of my car's have been completely stock and I have never experienced a problem. It's how you tune it up, not what you do to it...

  • It's actually opinion..

I have a 330ci and it's modified to 275hp at the wheels. I only ever drive the car at the limit if i am on open road - and since I live in the city - it is not very often. So I very rarely ever ride my car hard - and I never take it to the track.

    It's rarely over 5000rpm!

  • e46 2004 33ci *

    Not e92.

  • Guaranteed that the Vishnu 335I has the "check engine" light on

  • its true that the s5 is very nice inside, and out,, has prices there also very close to 335, but there's no way an s5 will beat an m3 never. But you can comper it to 335, which I find the 335 is better, I'm not dissing the s5, but what I dont like about audi is that it has alot of parts from the smaller german company W, and for and audi v8 4 point something and 350hp is weak, Bmw is about power and luxuty

  • The Dinan 335i Stage 3 is very similar to the M3 and but produces 465lb of torque (more than most supercars), it is faster than the vishnu and probably will take the M3 on an upgrade hill.

  • 335i - great car with great tuning potential.. but still, ///M3 is the weapon of choice. 4.0L V8! you gotta love it! i wonder when are they gonna throw a twin charger kit out for the e92 m3..

  • ...who ever says audi lacks performance doesnt kno what theyre talking about.... for example the RS range im pritty sure do not lack performance especially the new shape RS6

  • im not lying i am a service technician at a dealership and i see a large variety of vehicles including chipped 335s's. i love the 335 but the M3 is completely different. lift an M3 and a 335 up in the air and tell me which one is better, they are totally different. so stop lying your ass off from sweden and just cause you own a 33 doesnt mean you know everything about it!

  • I'm an AMG fan but the 335i is a good thing, and as it is forced is easily powered up. My brother has a black one with full exhaust, cold air, tune and produces 378.65rwhp (0-60 4.12). Audi's are lovely but there kW output does not translate into acceleration times. I have an E'vo 6.5which I have thrown just 15k at and which will murder either of them, with change for a nice boat, but I still feel better when I drive my Merc. coz prestigue and power is a lovely combination!!

  • jb3 chip with downpipes would of beat the m3

  • im sure if you put the right super chip in a 335i it would be faster than the m3??? correct me if im wrong

  • YOUR RIGHT, then they are STUPID FAST. they can have four mappings on that chip, and i think its up to a little over 400 horses to the wheels. ha. found this out the hard way. got beat in my z rather embarrasingly

  • what about if you put the right super chip in a M3 would be faster than the super chipped 335i again. Why people always like to compare stock and modded vehicle.

  • its because the video compares a standard m3 with a vishnu super chipped 335i but i get your point on stock and modded vehicles

  • "seeing a 335i with a $1000 mod, can get such a close performance to a M3 which is $2XXXX more."

In terms of straightline acceleration, yes a modded 335i is pretty potent. However when you consider ALL AROUND peformance the M3 wins hands down. It handles better, stops better, sounds better, steers better, and offers much more driver feed back and tactality as its designed from the factory to do those things. A chipped 335 is good but the ///M will always be better.

  • exactly! M series are amazing....its the best, doesn't matter if u have a piece of shit mustang that is as fast as the M3, its still an M3...

  • i agree to a certain extent. but just cause bmw puts a m badge dont mean its the best.. and comparing it to a mustang and all.. if thats the case m3 is obviously not the best as there are mush better cars out there

  • how many BMW's have you ever driven??? the M3 is a completely different animal, ive driven vishnu V1/V2/V3 335i's all really quick and fun to drive but personally id take the M3

  • @blkguynlex Couldn't have said it better myself...and I have a 335i.

The M3 is also engineered from head to toe to handle the 400+ crank horsepower. Is the 335i drivetrain going to hold up for 100k+ miles at that power level? Does it have the cooling capacity to drive it hard at higher boost levels without cool-down periods? Are you going to be able to clear all records of the chip from the ECU to ensure that your factory warranty remains intact?

  • @blkguynlex

    the m doesn't sound better ^^

  • @blkguynlex N/A RULES

  • @TheEuroperules, agreed!

  • this is ridiculous.

  • ..... 335i and 135i kind of fucked up the BMW line. it kind of made the line so unbalance. seeing a 335i with a $1000 mod, can get such a close performance to a M3 which is $2XXXX more. Look at Audi their A4 or A3 2.0T can never do this to a s5. "not with a $1000 Chip."

  • its not just the power the handling of the m3 is insanely better plus more reliable.

  • reliable??

  • its made to handle the power the N54 has major issues including the high pressure fuel pump, turbos, wastegates and turbo actuators. trust me the M3 has issues too but the 335 has more

  • whats the issues please let me know. so your saying that all the main turbo components have issues??

  • not all. its covered under warranty so its nothing to worry about. the issues have been corrected as BMW says, as well as warrant extended for the effected vehicles

  • so no more issues so there just as reliable then

  • some issues are still there, which is expected with ANY car

  • you stil contradictive. you said m3 has issues too but the 335i has more. can you please tel us why. then u said its covered under warrenty so nothing to worry about. also saying that the 335i turbo systems have issues. and being reliable and stuf. so which is it m3 or 335i more reliable and why. i dont thing its much of a difference excpet that the m3 wil probably cost more to operate and everthing where as the 335i turbo components will wear out eventually but that dont mean unreliable.

  • just today i replaced a high pressure fuel pump on a 335i. this car had just had it replaced 2k miles ago. i have replaced a pump on a car for its 5th pump in 27k miles just last week. it is VERY common due to low fuel quality in the US for these pumps to fail. Also the 335 has oiling issues and carbon buildup on the back of the intake valves as well as pistons, the charge pipes leak, the wastegates are noisey, the turbos fail(not as common) as well as high temps. the M3 shares none of these

  • The S5 is a great looking car but its performance is a joke. A stock 335 with only 300hp can out run a S5 that claims to have 350hp. Audis lack performance. Just look at their A5. So underpowered. Pretty to stare at, but slow

  • no we speak for the s5

  • Thats funny, stock to stock I've perspnally beaten 335's with my S5, but I'm not going to say "I've killed them". You also have to remember the 335 price fuly loaded is not to far off from an S5. I've also read the S5 posted a faster time around the nurenburgring by 2 seconds. The 335 is a tuners dream, and thats that. Interior, exterior and presence all goes to the S5 hands down, and that you cant argue. To bad I see a 3 series everytime I turn my head.

  • thounsands times always preffer M3 power, evidence talks by his own!!

  • just add the AC LSD :D n u got a m3 turbo!

  • looks like aftermarket bs always fails to back up it's 400hp claims for the chipped 335. M3 still beats 335 which is great cause I'd be pissed if I pay 15K more than 335 then get it's ass kicked by a chipped 335 for $1K

  • That was stage 1 for all your people that don't realize it...look at the V2 chipped 335 vs M3, the 335 actually wins, and thats a 1000dollar MOD

  • v2 is more than that. but we get the idea.

  • ///M3 Power says it all!

  • bottom line is the m3 just like the m5 and m6 is very strong in higher speeds, not much low end torque though as we can see

  • can anyone tell me what the defrence between 335i v1 / v2 / v3 ??

  • google it... but usually V1 is only software, V2 exhaust and software and V3 probably bigger Turbos.

  • thnx .... so the v3 has a good challenge against the m3 e92 ??

  • he's wrong, the V3 is the newest version of the piggyback and offers varying stages depending on what supporting mods are on the car.. a V3 equipped 335 should pull on an M3.

  • QUITE a close race my as$-m3 smoked 135,and had they not stopped at 250 the gap would have widened!!!

  • seems pretty fast, big torque, but high rpm NA power rules in this case.

Still very informative. Thks for this video!

  • how much horsepower does the V1 chip bring it to?
