The Grey Knights ARE Space Marines, but after the Horus Heresy, the Emperor made a secret order of Space Marines that were specifically made to fight Chaos, ironically, it was Chapter 666, these Space Marines were called the "Grey Knights". Because the Inquisition (The Ordo Malleus) were somewhat new, the Emperor permanently attatched the G.K. to the Ordo Malleus. In rare cases, the Space Marines can ask the O.M. for help in situations, and rarely, they'll agree and send in a squad of G.K.
