  • how much is it!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • I bought one of these and it works fine, but as far as saving the planet is concerned, forget it! I calculate that this device would pay for itself in around 2 years (working on saving 25W of standby power). If you factor in the amount of energy used to design, manufacture, market, distribute & sell this product, I reckon it would become carbon neutral in around 2134!

Buying a product to save standby power is a fool’s errand. Just another example of how marketeers prey on our energy concerns.

  • Excellent review. Seems an excellent product. Would like one with a timer function that would shut things off if I forget.

  • @makinawdandy6699 Thanks for watching.

  • I have a problem when my heating boiler turns on/off my tv freezes up, and when i press the gas cooker igniter, my tv freezes up so bad with every spark ...so i bought a surge protector, but this doesn't solve the problem? Any ideas what to do?

  • very good review, thank you

  • Just got my xps 8000 on jan 4th

Within 24 hours. I had a electrical blackout!

North London was down in power because of snow

My xps 8000 was switched on! And then all of a sudden power went

I was worried the electric power cut may have damaged the inside?

INVEST in a ups surge socket

  • i cant seem to get the 6 sockets to work. non of my devices connected to the conserve outlets turn on. any advice would be helpful. thanks

  • There are some channel settings in the remote and base of the main unit... worth checking they are the same.

  • they are.. all the lights work and when i switch the remote on i can hear a click. i assume thats the sound of outlets turning on? could i have bought the one defective model out of the rest? i want to hope not cause it was quite expensive

  • It is a possibility.

  • just my luck. thanks for the help. great video by the way

  • Dave im gonna have to say your the best damn reveiwer on youtube

  • np i mean it just keep doing what your doing =D

  • Fantastic review. No doubt a product I'll be buying for my workstation

  • First off, I'd just like to say that I love the amount of variety in your reviews!

Mobile Phones to Printers, Watches to Calculators, Cameras to iPod/iPhone accessories; the variety is fantastic!

Although this specific product is something that i wouldn't probably review myself, it's still great to say review done on it becuase it could really come in handy!

Thanks for yet another great review!

  • Cheers!

  • gona get this. love the remote idea

  • Great video Dave. Btw, whereabouts do you live in London?

  • This is so good

  • you should also be able to turn off the other two sockets manually if you don't need your computer running all night...

  • Yes, that is a good point, but you can always sleep your computer anyway. Maybe the always on sockets should be used for your Broadband, always on for easy access.
