  • That's a good amount of tail wag. You should adjust the gain on the gyro. People are talking about modified tails though. Is that a problem with the aftermarket tails?

  • One way to cool the hot ass tail motor down. Wish they would have fixed this from factory.

  • Can someone tell me were to get the upgraded tails for it! like the belt or brushless??? or any upgrades... thansk!

  • @burnette69 - I think it's Freestyle Hobbies that has the belt upgrade.

  • @burnette69 you can get it from a company in austrailia called freestyle-hobby. You'd be better off spending the money on an aluminum swash and paddle control frame, extra batteries, spektrum radio and a good charger that will charge 6 batteries at once in paralel. If you bend the boom slightly on the belt drive its over. You have to get new belt and boom from Austrialia. The SR is a trainer designed to get you passed the crashing every day phase. Belt drives are aggrevating to put together.

  • blade sr is a great flyer and for less than $200 it's hard to get a better cp heli of that size. I just wish that horizon hobby made a belt conversion kit for it rather than some other company making it.

  • @ranoldoe - Agreed, I like belt or TT better too.

  • xDDD:)noob

  • @minititan100 - I like it a lot. It has pros and cons. It's a great flying heli, pretty stable, but it doesn't have a direct drive tail rotor. Instead they used the electric. But overall I'd have to say yeah.

  • Fucking junk is all that E-flight makes! I am an expert at flying. Novus is junk too! Cheap china made shit is all they are.

The Blade SR has crappy blades and are intentionally designed to chip the cheap plastic coating off so you end up buying more.

  • @bathedinpestilence - It's true there are better/higher quality helis out there. But EFlite, with their "Blade" helis, is aiming for a certain price range. They are generally considered an "entry level" market. Personally I've had a lot of fun with my SR. Whether your blades hit something flying a SR or trex 450, they're both still going to be damaged. If anyone wants to pay 2 to 3 times the price for better overall quality that's is of course their choice.

  • @CrazyHeliDude

thank you. I agree with you and I do enjoy the blade SR. I just ended up buying a set of carbon fiber blades for mine and even ended up making my own set of blades for it. Monokoting the blades works good to if you get a slight chip and the plastic peals off. You can probably paint the blades too but, it looks like shit when you do.

  • @bathedinpestilence

No you're not. Helimax is based in the US. They bought the designed for the 4G6S, which is the best walkera design. If you knew anything, you'd know there are 5$ plastic blades that don't tear like the covered wooden blades.

  • @bathedinpestilence

No you're not. Anyone who claims to be an "expert" is a child. Helimax is based in the US. They bought the designed for the 4G6S, which is the a walkera design. If you knew anything, you'd know there are 5$ plastic blades for the SR that aren't even made by E-FLITE (not e-flight you idiot)

  • @bathedinpestilence

ALL MAIN GEARS ARE MADE OF PLASTIC. YOU FAIL AT BEING COOL

  • @ylinmtl

    I said cheap plastic.

  • @ylinmtl

Novus makes the biggest pieces of shit. Blade is OK but can improve on their quality. I did purchase a set of carbon fiber blades for my SR and haven't had any trouble since. The NOVUS CP is a pile of junk. I will stick to my gas powered helis and use the toys of indoors and to teach the kids to fly.

  • @bathedinpestilence

I'm talking N125CP/V120D02/D05. I don't think anyone cares about NCPs. Gas is cool. Not worth the trouble though. TDR is where it's at.

  • @ylinmtl

Gas is a lot of fun and is not as bad as some say it is.

  • @ylinmtl

Take care nice chatting with everyone.

  • this is what i call balls

  • Should we smoke some weeds soon :D

  • one slip of your finger and there goes a 250 dollar machine

  • I think you could stand to turn your gain down a little bit, gettin a bit of a wag there.

  • @TheLucas2696 - True, this was when I first got the heli and hadn't plugged in the gyro gain yet.

  • Awesome, I remember doing this with my honey bee fp. Great laugh.

  • Looks like your ready to give a try at "heli fishin".

  • @captinclutch1987 - Lol, I was gonna give it a shot but found out Nightflyyer beat me to it :)

  • Really need some floats. Great video, excellent flying.

  • @jauchiu - Thank you.

  • @CrazyHeliDude NICE!, i would have probably stopped when i hit my tail rotor!! Im pretty nice with mine but anything over water is suuper sketchy to me!

  • @MrJasonRichards - I've had a couple helis go in the drink. Open up and dry out the electronics, put it back together and it usually works fine again ... assuming it isn't salt water. Bad.

  • Loved it!!

  • I seen a few guys hover there helis over little mud puddles. your the only one i seen fly over a lake not to mention mowing the grass at the end!... jezuz your f_ing crazy! nice flyin man 5*

  • watch the tail rotor, it turns into a boat propellar if it hits the water lol (i learnt the hard way) a piece of dence foam on the tail will stop this happening.

If u do drown it it is possible to dry it out (depends how long in the water though).

    Nice flyin by the way.

  • WAS cool!!! Nice flyin'!

  • conquering the air and the water! now if you had a wall right in the middle of that pond, and flew right next to it over the water, that would be the ultimate gamble my friend. you won't see me trying none of that with my msr. *my wife would drown me in that pond for taking the risk* I love her but she takes the fun out of everything.

  • Testing your limits was not enough, so you actually "tested the water" ...while "keeping your nose clean"

  • Anyway it was coool

  • Wow, you must have a lot of trust in yourself and your helicopter skillz. I am so nervous when ever I fly my Blade CX2(Its broken though) I need to learn how to have more confidence like you have.

  • @TraxxasRCFreak It comes with practice, I used to shake like heck when I did anything new with my B400, it got to the point that when I did anything I was used to it, even when I nearly put it in, the way to get confident is to remember that you will put it in sooner or later, so what the hey, just do what comes naturally and learn to fly, oh and have a good few spares handy. :)

  • @jboweruk - Agreed RCFreak. It comes with time and patience ... not to mention a few crashes and repairs.

  • That's brave right there! I like it.

  • awesome CHD!

  • your so crazy lol

  • Careful man, water makes me nervous. Nice flyin'

  • Love it man! Right on, testing limits rocks!

  • Certainly living up to your screen name aren't we, Rob? :D

  • need to fix the proportional trim nice flying

  • LOL

  • You certainly live up to your YT name CrazyHeliDude!

  • Wow, and I'm still getting used to hovering it over the dry part of our planet...

  • First time when I saw someone flying heli over water was NightFlyyer fishing, and I just thought that guy must hate hes heli to do something like that :) ... I still think even it's "just hoverin", it's a bit of a gamble ! :)

  • brass ballz man. nice
