Just curious. How long can you run the engine before it overheats? Could you run it at full for for longer than a few seconds? I mean ten seconds would be quite a haul I imagine.
think ill get one with a tuner motor an have a mini drift car gonna be so awsome driftin in the middle of the street an cops wont be able to say shit because its gonna be a mini muahahahahahah
I always fantasized about a car like this with a metal body using same metal as coke cans and having demo derby cars crash into each other and denting propperly.
years ago, I had a toy called "Clydes car crusher" It pressed pieces of tinfoil into car bodys that you could mount on frames to have a miniture demo derby. I thought it was a pretty col toy
the new engines go for about 6 grand wth the manifolds, i think im gonna save up and get one of them, would go great in the 1/4 scale supermodified i want to build...they have a quick change rearend thats comming out soon to
if ur on about th g3.0 or the 18ss, thers no way they r as powerful as 1 of these v8's. the g3.0 engine produces 1.5 hp and these conley engines produce 6hp+
13000 dollars, is that with the 4500% mark up. Good god!! who has that to spend on a R/C car????????? Awesome what your doing and thank god its a capitalist country, but you should put as a intro to your videos, only for the super rich
as i said look up conley rc on google u will find it...and i will tell u this..that t bucket is about 4000 dollars....and the engine will go for about 1000 or so
why doesn't anyone ever hold the throttle wide open for more than a split second in any of these videos? also, needs a 3rd channel so you can just sit there and hold brake-torques with this thing!
Hey Baboon, They don't want to blow the engine by over reving it thats why they dont hold the throttle wide open for very long. That shit is expensive.
@62609 Wouldn't you "show off" a great talent like that?! Come on, he build the Herman Munster car! Very Very Very few people in the world can build micro scale v8 engines, chasis form the ground up. If you are a gear head like me show this man some love.
ITs a real scale v8. They are incredibaly expensive. and i dont believe that they are made any more. I know he had a viper engine and all the molds for that were destroyed in a fire. The guy is a family friend of ours. but we havent talked to the guy in a while.

id say so. BUT would be expensive as hell to destroy Eh?, if you do it, post a vid, me ive enough to build one of these, BUT i dont wanna destroy it
yamahonkawazuki 2 years ago
u could have a tough chassis and simple sacrificial panels.
tpvalley 2 years ago
also if u made simple presses to make basic car shapes, fenders, bonnet (hood) etc u could buy a car supplied with many many bodies.
use simple leaf spring suspensions also and weight the car like a full size rwd one with everything in correct place.

the reason they are so slow is because of the power to weight ratio

It would be good to hear though!
I dont think they rev that high anyway judging by the website and power figures,
maybe they r revving and the sound doesnt do it justice, youtube often has that effect?
I think they cost either $1500 or $3000 per engine, roughly one of the 2 figures, the second may include car and things, Im not sure?
If I was rich I would have loads though.
Put an engine in miniature locomotive with electric transmission, a de tuned version for reliability?
tpvalley 3 years ago
Worlds smallest turbo diesel/electric locomotive?

they sound like the clutch is engaging to early, like they never get near the power band.
But they r made and guaranteed like any engine I believe so letting us just hear itpeak wouldn't harm.
