  • Great colors, would love to hike the AT some day.

  • Awesome area for a good day-hike.. I take the AT, to pine trail, then back around the ridge trail with my dog.. After all of that, he still isn't tired.. :/

  • haha just got back from an over night there, had fun playing with the ponies

  • One of the highlights of the entire A.T. I want to go back this year.

  • Great video. I miss Grayson now that I live up north. Nice to see your UL gear and setup. Are you a BPL member?

    Tom

  • No, I keep putting it off. I'm sure its well worth it. Maybe I'll sign up soon. Thanks for the comments.

  • were those horses wild?

  • Yeah, it was awesome. Sometimes there would be just one singled out somewhere and sometimes you would walk up on a group of 5 or 6. They werent looking for food from you, but didnt mind you getting close.

  • The Highlands are one of my most favorite places ever. Our scout troop went in September, it got down to the 40s then. We stayed near the fresh water spring and we also took some photos of the valley in the morning. Getting through the crack in the rock on the trail was difficult with a mat rolled on the top of your pack!

  • Yeah, its absolutely one of my favorite spots. The Highlands are featured as one of "Americas best dayhikes" in the May 09 backpacker issue. The pony in their picture looks alot like one in this video. Thanks for posting. -Rory

  • @heelyman101 my scout troop (and the local people) call that crack in the rock "fat man's squeeze"

  • Thanks for making public great video

  • Very nice and beautiful video.

  • I really appreciate that, thank you.

  • Your welcome :)

  • i LOVED IT - WATCHED IT THREE TIMES - GREAT JOB - G BITTY :)

  • Hey, Was that A.T. Rathbone you were hiking with? I hear he is Legend

  • The One and Only!

  • Looks like it was nice trip! 5/5 Do those trecking poles help you out at all? I never got any use out of them or a walking stick.

  • Thanks man, yeah I love trekking poles. Just like having a hand rail up and down the mountain. These are homemade from two sticks, para cord and adjustable straps. Its important to use the straps properly to get the most out of trekking poles.
