@jDeniseUnderhill You can actually take a lot of old tractor rims and just sandblast them and shine em up like that. Though there is a huge weight difference bettween iron/steel compared to any other alloy.

Its a pulling tractor, the tires are shaved to improve traction on a prepared surface, full depth tread on a modified tractor will just over dig and stop forward momentum.

This is the wife, and he bought these rims from a fellow puller by the name of "Bubba". So I run into ole Bubba at a pull last year and I inquire about the cost of said rims. And Bubba ain't saying! And when I inquired of my husband this evening, all I get is dead silence and then "they weren't cheap." So now I know a little more and my husband had better not EVER complain about me buying another $5.00 cup of Starbucks coffee! :=)
