I saw the "enhanced version" many years after it was re-released. The fact that they changed the scene irritated me. However, the sloppy way they did it irritated me even more. There are home made light saber videos that are 100 times better than the L-shaped beam from Greedo's gun. Surely, ILM could have done a better job. On another topic, the extra speeder footage was ok, but I found it unneccessary. I've seen CGI before & I'm no longer content with CGI for CGI's sake.

Is it just me or are the only differences between this and the new one the camera angle and the giant explosion that blocks all views of both blasters?

@Stormorbiter In the new one, an extra shot of Greedo shooting before Han was added between "Yes, I bet you have," and the explosion.

Only Han shot. This scene was pussified in the newer versions. We can't have children idolizing a cold blooded killer, that could screw their moral compass, right George? Yeah, fuck you too.

The new version sucks. PC, CGI crap. I will always love the original I saw as a 5 year old. Lowes 34th Street Showplace. Between 8th and 9th. NYC.

the update version as you kmow has greedo shooting first but i cant believe a bounty hunter can miss from just across the table.lucus changed the spirit of han from a pirate to a nun.

Greedo never knew what hit him. Han shot him. Han is a badass who had no other option. George Lucas is a fool to change character defining scenes like this.

Why did people love Han Solo? Because he was badass and knew there was no other way than to shoot Greedo. It was his life or Greedo's. But Lucas wanted to make Han Solo a nice guy who would never do such a thing by making Greedo shoot first. Why would you want Han Solo to be a nice fellow? People loved him because he was a smuggler who only wanted money.

I got really confused when i recently bought the DVD version of the original trilogy. Han solo was shot at and then he shot. I was like "Huh?" Kinda confused me.
