  • sublime !

yeah, very different musical styles in post rock but always amazing musicians and feelings

    that' s post-rock touch !

  • Antennas to Heavan ? should of post BBFIII or Dead Flags Blues. But thats just me :)

  • @democolorscheme @fixedbyfixer I wasn't saying electronically shouldn't exist in post rock - just wasn't too keen on the amount/use of it in Giants Will Fall personally. But that's the key - personal preference. Would you call aspects of GY!BE electronica or analogue experiments?

  • @antisociaInetwork I personally don't like the primary percussion to be electronic drums. it sounds to cheezy and when I think post-rock it has to have some rocking drums like Pelican or even "dumb it down" a bit like Explosions in the Sky. I dig it.

  • Great mix <3

  • some good selections here.... hadoken in Part II ?!

  • terrible first choice

  • Not too sure how I feel about the electronica of the first band being placed into post-rock music, always thought of post-rock as being a very organic and human experience, Never heard Caspian nor So I Watch You From Afar before so will be checking them out thanks to this Vid. Awful lot of different tracks to fir into 12:00 for post-rock!

  • @antisociaInetwork Well, they seem to have post-rock elements.

  • @antisociaInetwork Post-rock is a huge genre that encompasses a large amount of different musical styles. Part of the genre's beauty is for bands like Suffocate for Fuck Sake and Set Fire to Flames to exist under the same term. Just look both of those groups up and you'll see just how extensive it really is.

  • @antisociaInetwork

Loads of post-rock bands (post-rock being a broad term on itself) use electronics, loads of 'em. Just a few examples:

    This Will Destroy You

    65daysofstatic

    God is an Astronaut

    sleepmakeswaves

    Cult of Luna

    ... you name it. :)

  • Caspian as well, though a little less obviously than other acts.
