it just seems that when a ball is dropped into water it would create that jet flow behind it anyways, or displacement, and showing it in slowmo would only support that theory because the water would take a second to close behind it, sorta like when you cannon ball into a pool, except thats on a much larger scale and the displacement acts a little different. anyways tahts my two cents.

Erm, I don't know about this case in particular, But i don't think it does. It's basically like coating something in wax, but this uses an extremely thin layer (Don't know what material the layer is made of though) put on using special techniques.
