However, the Xbox 360 version does have one advantage over the PS3 version. The picture quality. Although they both have supported HD video outputs, the PS3 version is only recorded in 720p while the 360 version is recored in 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

... If you do, however, happen to play the PS3 version on a 1080i or 1080p set, it will bump up the picture quality to that resolution. In doing so, your set will fill in all additional pixels so it fits the screen's resolution perfectly. Believe me, I play my game on a 1080i set and it still looks very nice! But since the 360 game is already enhanced for the other two resolutions, it may have a slight advantage.

Well I figured out this trick for Sonic 06, Since its sorta widescreen and it doesn't fill the whole screen just go on Xbox 360 settings and change set to wide-screen and it fills up the whole screen like the PS3 version, It makes Unleashed look kinda better too.

I'm guessing that you may have actually set it to fullscreen by what you have described. Maybe I'm wrong, but it would be rare if there was a 1.85:1 ratio as well as a 1.78:1 ratio all on one disc. There is usually just a 1.33:1 (fullscreen) aspect ratio and a widescreen aspect ratio which varies from 1.66:1-2.55:1. Some discs such as Blu-ray only have one aspect ratio.

Then maybe the 360 version was presented 1.85:1 and you could modify it to 1.78:1. If you can then that is a neat trick. I myself have the PS3 version of the game. I haven't gone to the settings to switch it's aspect ratio, but as far as I know it is presented in 1.78:1. Seeing as I play it on a widescreen set, it fills the screen nicely.

@JosedGeminis Dude 360 is just as capable of going to 1080p as the PS3 is. Here in Unleashed however Sega spent the most time on this version therefore the PS3 version has a much smoother framerate than the 360 version. As opposed to Sonic next gen when it was the other way around

Are you kidding me?! I have this game for the PS3 and it's AMAZING! Granted, you will mostly need a high quality HD set and a good Receiver/ Separates to notice its true brilliance. But even if you don't have them, I'm sure that the graphics will still be great. Better than on the Wii or PS2, anyway.

Yeah seriously, cores don't mean anything and first of all, if by 8 cores you mean what ps3 has on her cpu, then xbox 360 has 6 cores, not 3, finaly ps3 has one of her "cores" not used dirrectly so that means 7 cores. Then both cpu are 3,2 ghz; ps3 graphic system is less powerful than xbox360's one (geforce 7 type vs new shadering system for xbox360).

You would think that with classic games on the PSP and 360/PS3 that have been remade... that Sega would do the same. I mean, ok, maybe they didn't get the idea to remake old games after Castlevania, GnG, MMPU/MMMHX for the PSP. But after Bionic Commando Rearmed and then whole new entry to Mega Man with part 9?... Sega really needs to just stop trying to do something "new" and stick to what made Sonic good.
